Default Tracking your spending...where did your money go last week?

I've been diligently writing down all spending since Jan. 1. Maybe if we break down our spending "in public" we can help each other find our spending leaks.

    Jan. 1 $0
Jan. 2 $47.00-mall with DD1 and her friends. Includes: lunch at mall for Courtney and I (DD had her own money), dinner of pizza at home for DD and her friends, $10.00 for gas, and $15.00 at the pet store for new fish for DD and her friends (fish live at our house)
Jan. 3 $10.00 dollar store for napkins, foil, cleaning stuff
    $23.82 groceries
    Jan. 4 $0
    Jan. 5 $39.64 groceries
    Jan. 6 $5.00 gas
    $52.94 groceries
    Jan. 7 $0
Jan. 8 $20.05 some groceries and poster board for DD
Jan. 9 $2.89 bread at thrift store
$9.00 out to dinner with DH-our Friday treat
Jan. 10 $2.95 breakfast at McDonalds on way to work
$10.00 gas (hopefully will last me all week)

I actually had no spend days in one week, my goal this week is to have at least 3 or more no spend days.

I've really tightened my belt, no trips to wawa for hoagies, etc. DH is calling me cheap, but hey I still have $78.00 of my spending money from my paycheck left!

In my wallet is $7.00 to get me through the week, although I may put the ones in the change jar.

    Great thread Danielle.

I didn't mark down the days I had to spend. Guess I should do that but I do have my total spent. I know they are in the frugal challenge posts, but I'm going to start marking the days down in my journal.

$132.81 and that was all in groceries.

We didn't do much spending. I did pick up some thrift store books and we rented a couple of movies. We spent for plastic on the windows and unfortunately we had to pay full price on antibiotic eye drops for the baby. We have a yearly deductible on prescriptions that hasn't been met yet.

    This is a good thread...

about 15$ spent on xmas clearance (i think i went overboard on that!)
15$ spent on ayla's clothes (5 items for that price, and very cute/nice stuff!)

I spent 5$ on ebay for a book that retailed for 20$, the book is already saving me money (it points out what skin care products really live up to their claims)

oh, lastnight dh bought a new showerhead that we really needed. about 14$ for that...
he got some other tools that i didnt ask the cost

then ofcourse groceries/eating out so far we have spent about 192$ ....if we hadn't gotten sick i think it would have been a lot less. well that and if there had been better coke sales

Last week I spent $87.18 on groceries for the month and I saved $11.85 which is pretty good but I'm used to saving a little more with coupons.

$227 or so on groceries, a lot of it on fruit and vegg and meat specials for the freezer.

$480 on the elliptical exersise thingy

Bad for the debt repayment, good for the diet and exersize routine.

Oh, I do not want to do this!!!!! No way!!! Is it my fault that the pellet stove broke down and it cost us about $300 to fix it??? Nope, only gonna admit publically to the grocery bill!

LOL Debbie can I go back and only admit to the groceries?

I wanna close my eyes and ONLY look at the grocery money. this is just proving dh isn't the only one who can charge up a storm. I don't do it often but when I do it's bad!

    We spent:
    Propane $173.60
    groceries $117.53
3 bars goat milk soap and 2 petroleum free lip glosses $15.48
cat litter, washing soda, box cat food $10.77
    trashbags $1.29
2 bags Science Diet cat food $15.98
    church ~ tithed
    credit card payment $100.00
payment to radiologists for x-rays $41.80
    gasoline $15
    postage stamps $2.22
    buying papers for coupons $2.50
    Magazine dh wanted $4.99

Seems like a lot, but we only pay for propane about 3 times a year, and hopefully there won't be any more x-rays.
