    Default Son's Halloween costume

My 10 y.o. son decided he had to have this hat for his Halloween costume.

I decided to give it a go even though it looked pretty difficult to replicate. This is our version- paper mache covered in leather and gold paint . He's very happy with it:

He he is all dressed up and ready to go:

Thankfully, his siblings chose much easier to make costumes.

    Imperial Prussian?

    Nice job of it.
Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.

If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.

Use it up, Wear it out,
Make it do, Or do without. ~unknown

Because we, the people, have the power to build a better future. KH

It's supposed to be WWI German. I couldn't find an design like the eagle on the original helmet and have no talent for painting, so I used a machine embroidery design of an eagle and stitched it on gold fabric. It's actually the United States seal, but close enough for a costume.
