Jillian Michael's 30 day shred

I started the day before yesterday ...could barely walk yesterday, did it again today.
I hit my weight loss goal so now I'm trying to tone up.

Yes I did it after I had my first daughter last year, my husband and I did it together it kicked our butts! Of course then I got pregnant again, so now I need to lose the weight all over again. I've lost 35 of the 44 pounds I gained, I need to go digging and find the dvd to burn off these last few lbs.

I haven't done it but one of my best friends did. She didn't need to lose much weight, she just wanted to tone up. She said it kicked her butt but she loved it and it toned everything up the way she wanted.

Haven't yet- DH and I are trying the Jillian Michael's 6 weeks to 6 pack abs tonight- I'm excited.
We've been going to the gym seperately but I'm getting burnt out on the machines there and I can never make it to any of the aerobics classes. 30 day shred is the next DVD I'm getting
Congratulations on making your weight loss goal!

I do the Shred and the Ripped. Both the same style of workout. It's a great way to get in a good workout in a short amount of time.

Congratulations on your weight loss!
I've done 30DS,but I found her 30 Day Slimdown to be much more effective. It has some 30 Day Shred days, but also incorporates Banish Fat Boost Metabolism, and No More Trouble Zones. The only catch is, there are some 55 minute + days, but if you've got the time, it's totally worth the effort.
Of course if you don't have the time, 30DS is better than nothing. But I really think it's too short, and not varied enough to give fantastic results. That said, it's easily one of the best short programs out there.

Love this workout! I need to restart when our household goods finally get here. Since we've moved, I will be 20-25 minutes from the gym, so I doubt I'll purchase a membership. Congrats on your weight loss.

I'm in my second week of the 30 day shred. The first week I did level 1 every other day with a cardio video on the in between days. This week I've been alternating level 1 with level 2 and I have to say I feel great.
I can't say I "see" the results but I do feel stronger and honestly my self confidence is through the roof now.
A woman at work that I don't see that often stopped me in the hall and told me how good I looked. This was the first time someone who didn't know I lost weight/was working out noticed. Felt awesome to say the least!

I have the DVD and tried it again two nights ago and nearly died. I was using 5 pound weights an my arms are still killing me, I need to pick up some 3 pound ones and start doing it every night.

O definitely do not start with 5lbs weights if you're not already working with them! I started with the 3lbs and now I can use the 5lbs for most of the level 1 exercises. Need to progress slowly, I have no interest in hurting myself.
