I have never heard of using honey on your hair.....honey is expensive.....I use coupons for shampoo and conditioner and usually get it free. So I'm not picky about the brand but have found one or two that I just don't like so I donate those. Not sure I would go to the no poo route....but if it works for you, go for it...

I am not sure that it is about saving money. I think it is more about using a natural treatment for you hair.
There are lots of people who claim their hair looks better and seems healthier after transitioning to no poo. So that is a motivating factor as well.
I feel like both are a motivating factor for me.
Cost wise it depends. There are lots of shampoos out there you can get cheaper than honey. I have seen some bulk honey that is much cheaper per ounce than the small bottles though. However, when you compare it to the high end shampoos and other hair care products people use to make their hair nicer, it is cheaper. "Natural" shampoos tend to be pricey.
I feel like the whole natural movement can be split into a big spenders group and frugal group. If you DIY recipes, person care products and cleaning products, you can usually do natural pretty cheap. But if you buy products that are labeled "natural" or "all natural" they are usually a lot more expensive than the regular stuff.KathyB
