Trying to get my workouts in, a little easier now that it's nice out because I can always go for a walk outside. Eating habits are still not great. I didn't gain the Quarantine 15 but probably the Quarantine 5.
I'm too busy working on my own grass to notice if yours is greener.

I think I gained the Quarantine 5, as well. I did binge a bit at the beginning of the shutdown but that seems to have settled a bit. Although I am finding I"m getting more burgers and fries on the weekend since fast food restaurants are the ones that are open, more often than not. At least they have drive throughs which make ordering easier.

I'm finding that I'm eating better during the week. On the other hand, I'm finding that I'm eating one big meal during the weekend, even though it's mostly fast food. I'm getting back into the garden more now, especially since I've been harvesting strawberries (which are almost done) and lettuce. I'm mostly using the lettuce in my sandwiches.
Still not getting my walks in anymore but I'm trying to keep up with the leg lifts.

Finally got another walk in today. I've been bad at doing that lately. Been doing better with the leg lifts but I'm still not doing as much exercise as I used to. I want to get back into doing that more. The weather's been cool enough to get a decent walk in but I've been lazy lately.

Got a walk in this afternoon. I need to get back into doing more of those. I think it's a lot easier to consider taking a break for a walk at lunch when I'm in the office, for some reason.

Got a walk in last night, later in the evening than I usually do. I tried to wait until it cooled off a bit before I went out. Today will likely be easier to get out and walk since it's less humid. I"ve noticed I'm feeling the exercise again since I've been more sedentary with the shutdown.
Had a appointment with my new PCP. I think I like her. On the downside, my BP is still high. On the upside, I only gained 4 pounds from the last time I got weighed at the doctor's office. And that's with not getting in the exercise as I have been. I thought I had gained more.Last edited by renmerc446; 06-24-2020 at 12:34 PM.

My eating has been absolutely ridiculous. At this point I'm probably pushing a 10 pound gain, maybe a little more. I'll get on the scale tomorrow morning.
I got in a 50 minute swim today and am going to take a walk a little later. Logged most of my food but haven't finalized dinner plans other than what I posted in the dinner thread. I REALLY need to lay off the night time snacking.

I've been trying to make lunch my largest meal and not eat after 7 pm. I try to make sure I have what dinner I do have is 6 pm-ish at the latest.
I did get a bit of walking in yesterday but not a focused walk just for the exercise. I do need to make sure I get more walks in. I've been trying to change my eating habits for the better.

Missed lunch yesterday and had a relatively big dinner. I think I"m getting used to smaller meals because I felt too full afterwards. But I'm glad I didn't pick up any more sweets the last time I went shopping. I want to try and go more towards fruit.

I also try not to eat after 7pm. Then don't eat breakfast until after 7 am because I walk the dog first thing in the morning. I have been losing 1 lb every so often, down about 4 lbs for the year so far. Keeping busy and just eating normally I guess. Frankly I'm avoiding cooking and let hubby do it whenever he is inclined. I tend toward easy meals and prefer leftovers to avoid future cooking, and trying to use what is on hand. So the food is not too exciting.

Yeah, I tend toward easy meals as well. And I've been tending more toward leftovers as well, including the take-outs. On some days, I don't eat lunch. I haven't taken my walks as much as I would like but I'm glad that I'm training myself to have smaller meals.

Still not getting my walks in due to heat and humidity. I am trying to do more leg lifts and other small bits of exercise to keep myself moving. Still trying to get better at eating small meals. One thing I've noticed is that I'm paying more attention to sodium, at least in my soups. My local grocery stores offer soups made on site, which have about half the sodium than the regular canned stuff. I found I like some of these soups better than the canned ones as well. One is a veggie soup for non-meat meals. But it's too warm at the moment for me to really want them at the moment.

Went to the gym today and took the hour long cardio class. I'm not in as bad shape as I thought, the stretching and walks have helped. Trying to do cardio in a mask sucks. I'm going back Thurs, going to try and do 2 days a week.
Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.
If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.
Use it up, Wear it out,
Make it do, Or do without. ~unknown

CH - can't even imagine working out with a mask on. Good for you doing a hour long class.
I have got to get back on here posting........I can't keep blaming the pandemic for my poor eating habits and not working out on a regular schedule.I'm too busy working on my own grass to notice if yours is greener.

CH - great job. The state hasn't allowed the gyms to reopen yet in my area, although some are opening it anyway.
Rabbit - I so agree. I need to post more often as well.
BUT!!!! I did get out and took a walk last evening. I felt so out of shape. I did realize I usually move a lot more at work than I do working from home. I had been trying to get some other exercise (leg lifts, a bit of free weight work) in. Clearly didn't help much. Now that the worst of the heat and humidity (temps have been ~90+ with heat indexes ~100*) hopefully in the past, I can get out more. While the heat and humidity are not the main reason I haven't been getting my walks in, I can't use them as an excuse any more *not* to take them. Thankfully, there were just some fallen twigs in my apartment complex so I can get my walks done in there. I haven't left the complex to see what the damage from the Tropical Storm is like outside.
