Default My 2009 No Soda Challenge.

Ok so starting on January 2, 2009 I started this personal challenge to not drink any more soda. I'm not a huge soda drinker to start with but I wanted to completely quit drinking it. I started on the second because we were visiting family on the first and all they had was soda. I will allow myself to have a soda as to not put anyone out. I don't want someone going out of their way for me. I'm calculating this as days / days of the month.

Good for you! Congrats! I would love to completely get off soda too, but for right now, diet soda is my sweet treat to myself!

I have gone from drinking several a day to having one or none, so I am with you in spirit!

You can do it! And think about the health benefits, because the way I see it, if your thirsty and you skip the pop, whatever you do decide to drink is probably going to be healthier for you!

Ok. So I've had 1 1/2 minor set backs. LOL. Saturday night I shared a soda with my BF at the mall and today I had one sip of Aldi's cola just to try it. Not a total loss for my challenge but overall I think I'm doing good.

I gave up soda years ago, and what a difference it made to my health. I don't bring it home any more and when we go out I order iced tea or water with lemon. That's not to say I never drink one, I'll have soda maybe 2-3 times a year, but I don't *want* them any more.

After you get off the corn syrup addiction you will notice how awful it tastes, and that it really does nothing for your thirst but make it worse.
Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.

If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.

Use it up, Wear it out,
Make it do, Or do without. ~unknown

Oh i need to join this challenge. I'm realizing that soda (diet or regular) causes me to break out in acne!! This will force me to drink more water.

    Smile Impressive goal...

I tried to give up diet soda, but was not successful - even though I had the headache from hades on the first day. Wish all the success in the world. Will be happy just to cut down. Let us know how you're doing!!
