Angela's exercise challange
I really need to push myself to get into my exercise back on track. I do have a gym membership, but im cancelling that this week as we are moving shortly.
I currently live 2km from the train station so am aiming to walk to and from the station everyday. The walk is pretty good and quite refreshing of a morning. On the way to the station its 2 downhills and 1 up hill and home is 2 uphills and 1 downhill.
Since i got my gym membership about 5 months ago, i have been catching the bus. It is $1.90 per ride. If i start the walking, not only am i exercising, but im also saving $19 per fortnight.
Exceptions to walking will be if it is raining heavily or if i need to drive to the station for some reason or OH gets something delivered (he gets deliveries sent to my work as he works from home but isnt always home).
We are moving in just under 7 weeks, so if i cancel my gym membership this week it will save me $95.75 to go towards moving costs.
I would really like to get back into walking on my lunch break at work about 3 days a week min. Its just a nice way to get out and break up the day.
Might put something in my signature to tally my walking.

I accept the challenge. Walking is always my first choice. Is that what you have in mind or would an eliptical or stationary bike count as well?

If i had a bike or an eliptical i would use one, they are a wonderful workout, but unfortunately i dont
My parents have a rower so ill be using that while im housesitting during may/june. Once we move though im not sure what im going to do in terms of exercise. I do have access to the Sydney Botanical Gardens at work for lunch time walks which is good coming into winter. Hopefully we will move somewhere which is close to a big park for bike riding and walking.
Now onto my MUST TAKE CONTROL OF MY LIFESTYLE points:
Walk to/from the station
Eat respectibly (ceral, 2 x fruit, healthy lunch, home cooked dinner, 2L water per day)
45 mins 5 times per week on wii & fit ball
To keep on track i MUST report back on here each day and also report my eating/drinking/exercise on calorie king.
I hoped on the scales this morning and thankfully i havent put on any weight (havent lost any either) but im so blobby.

Today is physical therapy day, so that will take care of shoulder exercising.
Plan to spend time on my exercise bike this afternoon.
Weatherr is lovely so think this shall be a pool day.
Started the daya with a slip - but ohsogood......1/2 cup of potato salad. What a treat - breakfast for me and I'm done with it for the day. At least it's controlled and not maniacal devouring of the whole container.
Have a great Mondaya!!

Follow up for Monday:
Walk to/from the station Done
Eat respectably (ceral, 2 x fruit, healthy lunch, home cooked dinner, 2L water per day) Done - sort of! I forgot to have my apple in the afternoon and had 2 too many biscuts (at least they were plain biscuts. Dinner was leftover roast chicken on fresh rolls. I had an extra roll later cause fresh rolls are just so yummo with honey
45 mins 5 times per week on wii & fit ball didnt happen. I got home, made dinner then had to study for an exam tomorrow, so wont be doing it tonight either.

Still have shoulder exercises to do and perhaps pool.

Great job on the walking!!
Had sushi for lunch - friend's birthday
Dinner will be fish, salad and rice
Did shoulder/arm exercises. Wish the wind would calm down - really makes it too cold for swimming. Strange winter weather we've been having for weeks!!
Have a great Thursday. Keep moving!!
