    Default A personal challenge to....

...stop my world, get off the merry-go-round....and build back up again. This was nothing I planned, it just happened. I had been a little concerned as to how much time I was spending here at FV and if I was indeed shortchanging the life and people around me. And then I just took a break from a lot of things.

    What did I discover -

that it is really important to me to interact with and support the many friends I have made at FV.

-that I am able to express myself here more openly than anyplace else.

-that being a part of FV has helped me grow in many areas.

-that it is okay to take a break now and then.

So, I am so happy to be here and know that this is right for me.
Looking forward to seeing all that is going on with everyone. I may not catch up, but I will be here with you!!

Mahalo for all that each of you do to make this a vital, thriving and supportive place to come home to.

Maui... On occasion, I too take breaks from the internet and forums. On occasion, I also take breaks from.. beer from work, from responsibility, from my wife, dogs, mowing... etc etc etc.
It's a time to refresh, step back and enjoy something else. It's a time to be alone with you, with your thoughts and nothing else.

Life is all about balance and the balance is constantly changing so you need to shift to one side or the other on occasion. Enjoy those times because the variety is the spice of life!

    Hugs!

Russ, no...not the beer! Say it isn't so.

MM, I figured you was just taking a break. It's good for all of us to do from time to time, but glad to see you back.

It's ok, we know you Pacific islanders sometimes just need to get on the train and brood.

Oh, wait, that's my wife's people, the Swedes. My bad.

    Hi there, MM!

Thanks for the comments on my 'do it' thread. Looks to me like you have a lot of focus, also---from reading your 'exercise challenge' posts! Lots of different activities, and so much determination!

I totally understand the need for breaks ....from almost anything. Giving yourself permission to take a break relieves a lot of stress sometimes.

I had the same reaction when I read Russ' post!

MM, taking some time away to rest and recharge is a good thing - it's called taking care of yourself! I'm also glad to see you're back
