2015 Lose-A-Pound-A-Week Challenge
We know what to this in this thread, people. Encourage each other, motivate each other, push yourself.....whatever it takes to all lose a pound a week. IF you don't lose a pound a week, don't give up!...just keep going! What's important is that you're on the road to better health.
Let's do it, people!
If you fall off the bandwagon, that's no excuse to jump back on! It doesn't matter what time of the year you start, what you weigh to begin with or how many times you have started the journey then stopped.
We are here to support and encourage. Don't give up regardless of how hard it is! Push yourself, talk positively to yourself AND tell yourself that it CAN and WILL be done!
And feel free to use this thread to post what you eat (if you want to!) to stay accountable.
Put ALL EXCUSES ASIDE and remember this: YOU ARE CAPABLE!

I'm back on the band wagon for 2015. Hoping to drop that last 20 pounds.

I'll try this - again. I want to lose 20#. By eating healthier, drinking more water, being more active this should be doable and my cholesterol level should get closer to normal.

I'm going to track what I eat this today...every calorie. We're getting together with DH's family tomorrow and Sunday, and I'm worried I'm going to go sky high if I don't squeeze in one good day.
Yesterday morning I weighed 137.6. This morning I weighed 139.2. Time to go downhill!
So far...
Breakfast/Morning Snack (as I woke up mid-morning) - 1/3 cup of oatmeal (84 calories), 1 small container of peach yogurt (100 calories) and 2 mugs of black coffee (4 calories)
For lunch I'm going to have a salad. Off I go to make it now!

I too want to lose weight "By eating healthier, drinking more water, being more active". I plan on not counting calories.
I put my weight daily in the health app on my phone.
I do see some up and down weight daily like the day after Thanksgiving or the day after Christmas. I figure this is do to water weight gain and more or slower transit through the digestion system. I do not worry about this as long as the average is not creeping up.

139.2 this morning. Christmas season is now over, so I need to get back on board and go down. I woke up REALLY early this morning (and unfortunately couldn't fall back asleep), so I jumped on the scale then went to the main floor for an early breakfast. I plan on counting every calorie...no matter how hard or discouraging it is. I went down a couple lbs the other day from tracking my weight, and I plan to do it again.

I decided to bow out of this challenge. I decided to just focus on nourishing my body with what it needs. If the scale says there is a lower number then that will just be a bonus. The number will not be a focus though.
I wish everyone well on their endevor

I would love to lose about 26 pounds in 2015, which would be a pound every two weeks. I definitely need the accountability!

Well its been a few days since jumping back on the wagon, down a couple of pounds and have exercised every day, still need to do today.
What I have noticed too is that I am fifty and aunt flow has not visited me in a few months, but when I jumped off the wagon and ate more and not always healthy my hot flashes increased! Now these last few days eating better and not as much they are going away!! That alone is a good reason to watch what I eat!!
I lost 34 pounds last year, goal is to keep it off and lose hopefully another 20.
2015 here I come!!!

My weight was an even number as well. Last night 160.0 and this a.m. 158.0. Surprising how dehydrating this dry winter air can be on a body over 8 hours.
drinking more water, ate an apple, ate lighter today. Planning to add more fruits and vegies to my intake and less junk food. I will take one day at a time and make better choices.

Good Friday morning to all....think positive and it will be a wonderful day!
Going to go through frig today and toss old holiday food out and clean it up.
Going to cut up some veggies to have on hand to snack on too.
Get up and move those pounds off, it's one thing I don't mind losing!!
