    Question Acrylic Paint

I was walking around Michaels today and was trying to decide what I could make my immediate family and I was looking at painting picture frames but wasn't sure which kind of paint to use. I was going to ask my sister but DUH she's going to be getting one

So...is acrylic paint ok to use on unfinished wood frames? Can I use it on finished wood frames???

I've used acrylic paint on already painted frames and it worked out great, but that's the only experience I can offer.

I've done it & when finished I spray the item with some clear sealer. Happy Painting!

yes it can be used on unfinished and finished wood. i'd seal it after it's completely dry to protect it.
i use acrylic paint for holiday decorations. i bought the flat wooden jack o'lanterns that michaels had and painted them with acrylic paint. they also work fine on the plaster ornaments and figurines they sell.

Oooh thanks ladies! This makes me excited!! I can't wait to start painting!

What kind of a 'sealer' do you use? Whats it called or what is the brand name...I saw a few kinds of sealant type sprays but really I haven't a clue what they did.
