Default No more microwave for us...

Mathieu put a metal thing in it to melt his butter for his popcorn, yesterday----well, the fire got into the microwave and now it's no good anymore.

Since we only used to reheat occasionally, we will not buying another one in the near futur.

Did this ever happen to you?

Sorry he made the microwave go crazy.
We lost our microwave due to who knows what & we really missed it & had to replace it. We use it for reheating leftovers and defrosting quite often.
    Enjoy the new counter space.

I've never had that happen. I'd be lost without mine. I use it daily about a million times.

I did once hear that if you put a grape in a microwave that it will spark. Yet another piece of useless knowledge tossed in for no apparent reason.

Sorry to hear about your microwave, but looks like you won't miss it much anyway.

So sorry for your loss, we use ours constantly so to get rid of it would be sudden death.

Yes, I can use the counterspace for sure. My kitchen is small and I have not much space, so at least that's postive. Of coarse if ever we feel we are suffering from not having a microwave, we will probably buy another one.

Sara...wow...I never would have a thought a grape could do that...that's strange. lol

I tossed the microwave a few years ago for health reasons. They not only destroy all of the nutrients in your food, but they change your blood profile to that of ones similar with cancer Did you know that microwaves are illegal in Russia? If you are caught with one, you go to jail

Actually, I've read some bad stuff about microwaves too and had been hestitant to buy one...which was 3 or 4 years ago. I find it's very conveniant but was felt uneasy about the health issues they talk about....anyways, now that ours is no more good, I decided to try to live without one. My grandmother didn't have one and neither did my mom, so I guess I can do it too.

I miss my microwave so bad and I can't wait to buy a new one.
I was going to get one with my pay check this coming Friday but my mom said she would give us money or a Lowes Gift Cards for Christmas to go towards a washer & dryer and Joe told his parents to do the same thing so we are going to wait until after Christmas (if I can make it that long) and buy all 3 at one time.

I use ours all the time~ I'd have to go replace it right away. I think it depends on how you grew up cooking- we had one at my parents' house from the time they came out. My mom and I even went and took a microwave cooking class many years ago.

I'm sorry you lost yours, but glad it won't be a problem for you!
