Thanks earlybird, I have never seen that but maybe because I've never looked for it. Will check my grocery stores next week.
I'm too busy working on my own grass to notice if yours is greener.

Old emails, oh boy do I ever have some of those. I have them in my regular email account and most likely duplicates in my gmail account and add an excessive amount in my gmail account because I tend to email anything that I don't want to lose (most of which I never look at again or if I do, I decide that it no longer applied to my life.)

Yes, I must get started on going through and getting rid of some emails and think I'll go get rid of at least 10 of them right now! And, as long as I don't come across 10 things that I think I must send to myself today then I'll call that a win!

LOL! I have email going back 30 years. It takes up ZERO physical space so I don't worry about it.

I sometimes go back and look at messages from friends who have passed.
Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.

If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.

Contrary Housewife, I had never thought of just saving them all and now that I think about it, I would love to have some from way back. I do however have the last email from my friend Dee who was a friend for nearly 30 years and she died (back in, I think it was 2010 but not 100% sure that was the year.) It seems so long ago now! That though I also think I have it backed up on my flash drive (which at the present time, I have no idea where it is. I moved back in November and am still looking for things. lol

Books you don't want - if suitable, find a "little free library" and add to their collection. I enjoy one close to me, gifted 2 paperbacks this week and got a hardback to read and return.

Or find a Better World Books bin for larger quantities.

I'm blessed to have a library right down the hall from me in the building I live in and then another one up on the 2nd floor as well so I can take any I don't want to one of those. (I live on the 1st floor.) It really makes it nice however I don't ever get books from there as I have so many unread ones yet on my Kindle, I may never get them all read. And some too that I want to re-read the books and/or series.

I need to clean the sock drawer. I didn't know cleaning supplies had expiration dates.
Great list especially for such hoarders as I am. I don't keep DVDs maybe except the rare ones, some old magazines I had were either donated to a local library or sold. Old sheets and towels are often used as rags so I keep them at the garage. The last thing I got rid of was a mop with a removable head because my daughter gave me a robot vacuum which she calls a "robomop". Never had anything like that but according to this site it also works well with gathering pet hair. Well, technically my old mop is still stored in my garage just in case.

I like doing my spring cleaning now while it is cooler. nagging the kids about it too. I know there is piles of outgrow or not worn in dd drawers but want her to do it...she takes after dh and he can fill a palace. why declutter if you can put it somewhere else. has taken him to 57 to realize can't blame me anymore and just get over it. so he cleaned up his office lol even wanted to clean out shirts..he looked further then 6 inches in his closet and discoverd a bunch.. I hadn't rotated them from long to short sleeve since he doesn't wear long sleeve much anymore. forgot about little libraries. was going to put books in the thrift store box but will do that instead. too many books from library and if I haven't read them yet. plus I keep finding kids books to move on to friends kids. pokemon is always popular. slowly but surely...

I have SO MUCH to get rid of. I procrastinate and tell myself when this knee or knees thing is over with and I'm healed. Looking at one for sure knee replacement and probably both at different times.
I guess I could probably piddle and find stuff to toss/donate.

We just don't have the storage, counters, cubbies or shelves like before and no one wants to toss.

DH replaced the bathroom toilet tank parts but out of nowhere, we hear it filling up. Then another bathroom tank will fill, although that one hasn't been replaced. He has no idea why they do this.

The online place where I ordered the shawls kept asking me to wait until the items arrive and they'll give me 20% refund. I said no. I think this place is in china. I'll still contact my CC to refund me.

Light snow now as I took DS2 to the bus. Doing laundry while riding my bike and typing. I'm waiting for DH to wake before I go in the bedroom to do stuff.

Sounds like a slow leak. Check the flapper seal and make sure it closes tightly, and there is no grit or sediment in the way.

Our downstairs toilet used to do that all the time. I replaced the parts but it would still run from time to time. We almost never used it so I shut off the water to it years ago. Easy enough to turn it back on if we want, but the room has turned into a closet and still isn't used.

Erma, I know what you mean about those papers that get hidden away and could've been thrown out a long time ago ... also I think that while in hiding, they multiply as well. LOL

I haven't been on here much lately - how is your daughter doing? I'm anxious to hear and pray that it's good news!
