Default Today I am going to...

...work on my master bedroom and my office.

Even if you aren't part of the organization challenge, (which would be most of you since only about 4 people are participating! ) you can and probably should take a peek at todays challenge and try to participate.

My master bedroom and my office don't make me feel good. My master bedroom is basically a laundry problem. I have tons of clean clothes in laundry baskets waiting to be put away. I am going to do that today. The office is a problem with clutter and mess. So, in my office, I will be completing todays portion of the organization challenge.

I dare you to find a room in your home and do the same. Can't hurt...only help!

Amy I'm working on my m/bedroom too. I'm re-decorating it, so while I'm doing that I'm decluttering and washing down baseboards, door frames, window frames and the window. I've taken down the curtains and washed them and hung them to dry outside.

Our m/bedroom seems to be the catch-all for things. I've decided no more - everything is going to be put away as soon as it comes in the house or the laundry is going to be folded and put away rather than in laundry baskets in our m/bedroom (sound familiar Amy?). I want our m/bedroom to be a santuary not a junk room.

I'm working on my living room and kitchen/bathroom maintenance. I did a lot of work in those rooms yesterday. Of course, it's practically dinnertime so I better get going!

I joined in today. My kitchen cabinets were being taken over by appliances that were only used once in a while. I took everything off and gave them a good cleaning and found new homes for the appliances except for the ones I use daily or almost daily. I started cleaning the fridge which lead to the stove, the freezer the dishwasher and so on. I decluttered drawers. I just kept going and going and couldn't stop. It felt good. Of course by the time I was done I had to sweep and mop up the mess I made. I also pulled out the recipe books and put them in a place where I would utilize them. DS#1 said it looks so clean. I am glad someone noticed. It wasn't that it was just filthy before, it was just so cluttered....drawers, cabinets, counters, everywhere. Now I just hope it stays this way. It looks so much bigger with the counters clear.

    Thanks for the challenge Amy.

I did it! The playroom, top to bottom! I got out of there... 2 big black trashbags of toys broken/ missing parts... one box of baby toys to pass along... one big bag of clothes outgrown for red cross... and a bag of outgrown for a neighbor's son.

I cleaned, washed, dusted, disinfected! Hubby couldn't believe his eyes

But... it gets better! I also did my bedroom I dusted, swept, mopped, went through my dresser took everything out sorted folded re-organized and put back- then did the same for hubby's! I went through closets and got a big bag of clothes for red cross as well as some more clothes that go to the thrift shop pile

    I was beat after that

Wow! Everyone has been BUSY!!! That's wonderful! I love reading about all you've done. Even though it's not in my house, it makes me feel very satisfied reading about people tossing, donating, and cleaning stuff!

I got all of the laundry put away in my bedroom. Tonight (as long as I get all of my tests graded) I am hoping to clean off the top of dh's armoire and the inside of our nightstands...again! Then, the room should be in good shape and be a nice, relaxing area. As it stands, with the laundry away, it's not giving me chest pains anymore!

Amy, what is the organization challenge you mentioned in your first post?

I am going to work in the spare room/office today. We also hang laundry on a drying rack in here so there is lots to put away.
