    Default 7/10 - JDI's

Well, I tried another way of doing my daily to do list and trying to keep track of it but it didn't work out so good.

I posted in on my one yahoo group and had a spreadsheet type thing I saved each day with my list on it and had it on my desktop.

The problem? Well - I forgot to look at it. *lol*

For some reason when I'm on here, I feel much more accountable to others [no idea why but why question it if it works, right? *lol*]

    Jen

    Thursday's To Do's

    • Call Karen for appt. [500 pts.]
    • Bruce's party - 4:00 p.m. [250 pts.]
    • Clean off table [50 pts.]
    • Make out return form for cell phone [150 pts.]
    • Get phone packaged & ready to mail back [50]
    • Play with my cat for 1/3 hour [500 pts.]

    What are the points for?

Here is my "main" list for today - I have several, but I won't feel as guilty if I don't get the extras done ;-)

    Power Clean Kitchen
    Work on Laundry Room
    Clean Guest Bathroom

Once I get those few items done, I'll have more. Maybe!

I am working on the kitchen with FLYlady, so I will be scrubbing my faucets really well with a brush(Kelly's mission), and continue working through my cupboards...... Tossing and organizing......

    Hi!

I'm on a list [yahoo] called purplecc.

Basically we get points for things we do and then reward ourselves at the end of the month. [Points can be motivating kind of if that makes sense. *lol*]

As for myself, I kind of do my own points system and then will see how many I have at the end of the month ...

Depending on how many I have, I'll somehow divide them and then will give myself like one cent per point and that will go into an account for something that "I" want.

I hope this makes sense to ya ... I'm not always the best at explaining things.

Okay, with my set-up ... I give myself more points for things that I really don't want to do or that I procrastinate on.

That helps to motivate me to get it done and over with and to collect my points.

And for the dividing points ... just say I ended up with 10,000 points for the month -

I'd divide that by 2 and would have 5,000 points and if my math is correct [which after the day I had, I wouldn't even guarantee it. *lol*]

But ... that'd come out to be one penny per point for the 5,000 so I'd have $50.00 to put into the account for something I want to save for.

Now, many people I know wouldn't be able to do this with that much $ but I'm by myself so pretty much I am accountable to myself and no one else.

Hope this helps [or at least that it didn't confuse you or make you wish that you hadn't asked. *lol*]

    Love,

    Jen
