I don't know what your points are for either, Jen. A reward system, maybe?

I need one to motivate myself today.

    Things to do today:

    Clean both bathrooms.
Finish doing laundry and folding clothes.
Finish floors. (Sweep/mop kitchen, hall, baths)
Dust...again (So dry it's coming in and settling)
Bake something to use up some eggs because the hens are doing overtime.

    Ya'll have a blessed day!

    Hi!

I'm sorry I'm slow in getting back to answer your questions.

Have been dealing with an elderly neighbor and helping to get him placed in a nursing home [he absolutely should NOT be living by himself!]

Anyways - as for the points on my posts.

I joined a group called purplecc on yahoo groups and you get so many points for doing things on your to do list.

I don't strictly follow their points system but I do give myself x amount of points for things from my list and the more I do NOT want to do something - the more points I give myself to do it. *lol*

On purplecc, you keep track of your points and then reward yourself at the end of the month is basically the concept.

What I've decided to do is to tally up the points at the end of the month and then put $ into a special account to save for something I really want.

Let's say that my total points for July is: 10,000 points

If I were to give myself a penny a point then I'd end up with taking $100.00 and putting it into my special account.

That's a bit much especially for right now when I don't know what it is I'm saving for but ...

I can always divide the points the way I want to since this is only to benefit myself, right?

So, if I were to divide the 10,000 points by 4 - it'd be 2,500 points I'd come up with.

Then a penny a point would come out to $25.00 I could put into that account.

I hope this makes sense when I'm explaining this [sometimes I try to explain things but just confuse people. *lol*]

I know that many wouldn't be able to do this because of financial situations but I think on the purplecc list, they also give themselves other types of rewards as well [a kind of, use your imagination thing. ]

    Love,

    Jen
