    Default dining room table challenge

It's that time of year again. My dining room table is absolutely covered with school papers..there's no space to spare.

My goal is to dig out & then keep it clean for...oh, we'll start small...a week.

    Anyone want to join me?

My dining room table is one of the rare surfaces in the house that is clean 99% of the time. We eat on it for every meal.

Now...if you wanna talk coffee table clutter...I'm your girl

If you don't have a pedestal style table, have you considered putting one of those plastic drawer sets underneath to hold the school supplies. That way everything is handy but conveniently out of the way.

Table? You mean you're not supposed to eat meals standing by the kitchen sink or on the couch in front of the t.v.?

I have a beautiful table that was one of the few things I actually splurged on. It sits upstairs, in what I guess most people would call the study, and is used once a year - at Christmas. The rest of the year, it is covered and unmolested.

mine's half covered in papers and stuff....

we eat all our meals on it so the part where we sit is clear...

its so embarassing to have people over and they see that mess. its my embarassment. as well as the kitchen table (since we moved into the diningroom for meals) its a dumping ground

That's us too! I can only see a about 8 sq. inches of the surface of the coffee table.

Mines done! Cleared off all the papers, projects and lost junk. Washed it!
Then put a new clean fall tablecloth on. What a pleasant difference. Only took an hour once I got started.

Mine gets cluttered with laundry which I wash, dry, fold, iron and stack for the dks to put away. The dks don't hold up their end of the deal! What's up with that?

My goal will be to catch each dk and hand them their stack, so my table with its pretty centerpiece can be seen!

I like easy challenges like this (for me, anyway!) - mines clean, always is! it has the decorative candle centerpeice in the middle, like always (I even cleaned that yesterday!)
