Default Khjmom's end the year positive challenge

I have been visiting here for a few weeks now. Just from reading t
he many posts I now have so many things I want to acomplish before the end of the year. I need to get my house back on track, so I thought I would set up a challenge to myself. These are just a few things I want to get done by the end of the year.

    House
    1. get out winter clothes
    2. put away summer clothes
    3. declutter clothes as I swap them
    4. straighten out back porch (catch all place as of now)
    5. declutter kitchen cabinets
    6. start an organized stockpile
    7. Declutter my closet
    8. declutter dresser drawers
    9. motivate boys in their room (declutter there too)
    10. Decorate simply for Christmas by the end of November
    11. Get plastic over inside of basement windows
    12. Finish yard work for winter
    13. Get carpets cleaned before Thanksgiving (I own the carpet cleaner)
    14. Clean the windows

    Finances

    1. Finish budget for November
    2. Complete budget for December
    3. Declutter files
    4. Save atleast $1500 by Dec. 31st (two different bonus checks coming-need to be saved)
    5. Set Christmas spending budget (have an idea but nothing written)
    6. Reduce wasteful spending by 25%
    7. Update financial notebook
    8. drop any change I have each day in change jar (adds up quick)
    9. Stick to $25 grocery challenge
    10. Take my lunch

    Personal

    1. Start back walking each day
    2. Remember water is good for me, cut soda intake
    3. Eat more vegetables
    4. Use my morning and evening routines
    5. Remember to journal my blessings each day

Good luck! It sounds like you're pretty clear about what you want to do. Very ambitious, though!

I have gotten alot done for the day! Some of these will take a little time..but I know I will get it all done. I figure when I get the waste cut, which also includes band costs (ending mid Nov.) then I should have the money to add to the $1500.

Your off to a running start. Good Luck!!! It always feels nice to me to be able to cross something off a list. I generally feel like I'm getting nothing done unless I can actually see it somewhere.

I started focusing on the budgets last night....yuck! but now I know where I stand in order to reach my goals. I was able to cut our grocery cost down this week almost $50 and we have meals planned for each day this week. My dh was happy to see that! Now, on to working on that list, while blessing my home. Terri

WTG. Every step counts toward the goal. Once you know what the challenges are you can have a system in place and start making progress. Look forward to seeing how you get on.

In one of the classes I was in the Instructor shared that what is tracked gets done - you are definitely off to a great start.
