Bedroom is picked up. Closet has been purged of extra clothes that I am going to take to the Humane Society Thrift Store. Working on the bathroom, but had to stop to feed everbody!! (Meanwhile, I am subsisting on a stale bag of airline peanuts I found in my coat pocket.)

Bathroom has been reorganized, including cleaning out all the drawers and medicine cabinet. Just need to give it a good scrub down now.

Bathroom is clean. Took a break to go for a run and now my hands are frozen (making it difficult to type)! Have to clean off the table and then decorate, and then I can collapse and take a nap!

Okay, cheated and took my nap first. Bathroom is now decorated in appropriate festive paraphernalia. Off to de-clutter the table.

Table is decluttered, cleaned and polished, and I've put my holiday cloth on it. This is the first year that I am serving dinner upstairs, so I didn't really like the whole layout and had to spend some time muscling things around. Looks pretty good now, although I may spend a bit more time on it tomorrow. My thought is to have dinner on the top floor, away from the mess in the kitchen, and then to have everyone retire back to the second floor for coffee/dessert and to open presents.

Basically, however, I have accomplished today's challenge, as I've done the things I set out to do. Off to collapse in a heap....

Today's challenge is to get the downstairs birds' room cleaned up (no easy task, as they had to share with with a small flock of chickens for a couple of weeks) and to sweep out/clean the dogs' room. Also, I want to start turning that hunk of meat in my fridge into jerky.

    But first, COFFEE!!
