Okay, I'm changing my January project. The living room closet is going to take some time to sort out and plan. My January project is now to just get all of my bags of clothing to the Salvation Army. I have an enormous pile of stuff just sitting in my living room. I can't stand looking at it anymore!!

My project for Jan is to organize all the photographs I have. Some need to go into books and others need to be organized. Some need to be thrown away and so on. I love photos but they are just sitting in a storage box and I keep adding to them. Tons of photos. I'll take a before photo and an after if I remember to. This is something I've wanted to do for a while but just haven't made time to do it. Now it's time.

My DD bedroom needs a major overhaul. The closet needs more hangers and we have no where to put the toys.

Well, considering that I now have two foster puppies living in my laundry room for the next two weeks, I guess I'm going to change my January plans, as well. Hard to organize and re-paint around two little clumsy bundles of fur.

So I am moving February's project up to January, and I'm going to try to re-do my upstairs bathroom to make it my own private spa.

February will be the laundry room.

Well, all the wallpaper is down in MY bathroom, the floor is ripped up, and the wood painting is about half way done.

I have decided on a soft buttercream yellow to offset the muslin white wood and wainscotting.

After I paint I guess if the floors aren't ready to be done(we have the tile but are doing the hall right now)then I can scrap the ceiling...oy vey!

I have $100 bday money coming. I may use it to finance some of my bathroom needs... yellow paint, knobs, faucet, light fixture, new mud for the ceiling, tiles for the tub back splash etc. I won't get enough to do it all but I can do some.

We also plan to remove the glass doors and I need a nice PRETTY shower curtain, clips and a rod.

I am joining this one too. My project for January will be to finishing painting my sons bedrooms - I got the paint and have started and finished a section in my older sons room today already. We are only doing the feature border that goes from floor to hip height.

    Rent both apartments.
Resolve the zoning issues on said apartments.
Clean/organize the basement and make it usable again.
Finish putting flooring in the attic for more storage
Get rid of a ton of stuff
Finish all the nearly done little projects around the house.

    How's 1 every 2 months sound?

I'm diving right into this challenge, and I gotta promise myself I won't look back either!! I'm so bad at starting things and not finishing, which is exactly why my BR closet is a wreck. So that's my major challenge for January.

My other one isn't all that much. I just need to finally make up my mind where I want to hang things in our family/TV room because I'm also terrible at making decisions. It's so bad sometimes that I wind up doing nothing because I just can't decide I keep buying more and more things because of it too, and that's gotta stop!!

That should do it for this month! Happy to be on board with the rest of you guys Looking forward to reading everybody's progress too!!

    Theresa

To turn my bathroom into a spa, I will need to purchase a few things: a quart of paint, probably; one of those foam pillow thingies that suction-cup to your bathtub; possibly some silk plants and flowers; possibly some candles. I am haunting Freecycle for any of the above, as well as possibly for a small CD player to put in there, to play music or relaxation CD's. I know I'll have to buy the paint, and probably the pillow, just for hygiene reasons, but I'm hoping to scavenge the rest!!
