Since last night, I've gone through newspapers, closets and under-sink cabinets and tossed a total of 14 items!

Tuesday I flung 10 to 15 items to the thrift store and that evening I flung another 10 to 15 items from the pantry to a friend. I think I'll give myself 20 flung.

Ok, I confess...bad day. I went shopping! I KNOW I acquired a metal basket some books (10?) and a bean pot to replace the canister I have kitchen tools in. If the bean pot will work, I'll use that and put the canister in the antique store. But I have no plans for the books (mostly stock) or wire basket. I got other stuff too, but I'm too beat right now to tally it all up. I'm off to MA tomorrow, maybe I can come up witha bag or box 'o books to get rid of before I go...

Another bad day in terms of flinging things: 8 new bookcase/boxes, another load of magazines, another wire thingy, a rack, 5 hangers, and a few misc. pubs., some for DH's Christmas present, some not, say 4. So -20 today. When I get the bookcases and the rack up, I'll deduct them again.

Also a case of books (14) arrived while I was gone, but as all of those are going to be delivered to the gallery tomorrow, I'm not going to bother counting them!

In the meantime, I'll count up what I bought yesterday and the 20 from today and deduct them.

Tomorrow I have a chance to get rid of some things, the gallery (where the books are being delivered) is across a sidewalk from a thrift shop. Also, we can take things to the dump too. Hopefully, I'll get back to working on that 2nd 2009 by the end of the weekend!

I am so impressed with everyone who is deducting from their total for things brought in - if I did that, I'm sure it would be a complete wash!

I'm giving myself a point for flinging all the kleenex and candy wrappers (been handing out halloween candy to my piano students all week) that have landed on surfaces this week.

Eek, now that you mention it, I have to average 7 items flung per day to make it! I better get going!

Okay, 30 things out the door today, including broken plastic containers, some OLD bottled Gatorades that had somehow made it to the back of the closet (I don't drink Gatorade, so was probably from when I had the fence done, because I left drinks for the guys working out there.), and some books going to the library as a donation.

Great job, Madhen! Thats two days worth!

You inspired me, so I went up to the bathroom looking for something to fling. I found an big plastic bag full of old hair-things. I tossed several old/broken clips and claws, put some scrunchies in a baggie to give to Goodwill, and threw out some discolored headbands. 20 count, in all!! Yeah!

Ok...4 books and 1 jigsaw puzzle to the thrift shop. Unfortunately, the photo yard sale has been postponed, again, until March, so the 2 boxes o' stuff we took also came home. I got 2 baskets and 2 other things today (+1). But I also unpacked 3 more boxes of books by moving some of the paperback bookcases around and FILLING them. I found 2 shelves in the attic of pbs, that were empty! (+3). Net for the day? 4 more things gone that came in....

I messed up my totals when I was really tired a day or so ago, so I'm not adding/subtracting anything probably until tomorrow!

28 more things out the door, between books being donated to the library and clothes (old suits) being donated to thrift. I guess it is good that it is getting harder to find things to fling - means there is that much less cr*p in the house!!

DH and I went through the garage and tossed some stuff. Also pulled out stuff to try and sell on-line. Will work on that this coming week.

So I guess I keep adding to my total? I'll say 5 things tossed...hmm...seems low...but I've brought lots in the house lately, so it'll even out.
