Raked this morning. When I go to the dump tomorrow, we'll see how much of it I can get outta here! I've got 1 bag of leaves, but a load of rose cuttings and rot wood needs to go too. If it stays this warm, maybe I'll mow this afternoon, which will no doubt generate another bag or two of stuff!

I haven't touched the attic since the other day.

Also waiting to go to the dump are the pocket table from the attic and a wooden box. Our dump is open 1-5 tomorrow. Depending on how many loads I manage to take, I could get rid of a LOT of things tomorrow! (I never count things until they are actually gone.)

There must be something to this, a remarkable thing happened yesterday. DH asked me for a receipt, I asked him which month we'd bought the items in, he told me...and I found the reciept! (Very different!)

Yesterday I flung 2 plastic laundry bottles that have been lurking around here for months. I also gave a friend a medium-size dog statue that I bought months ago for her and forgot about. I also flung the gift bag I gave it in. The dog looks almost exactly like her beloved puppy. Not much I know, but I'm trying to get back into flinging after being sick.

Flung some random packets of paper and one holey sock. DH will just have to deal with a mismate until another of his socks goes kaput. 6 total!

I'm giving myself credit for a dozen today. I picked up rusty nails from around the house, a couple of old CD's, a few magazines, some bits of paper trash outside the laundry room, and a pair of pants that were too big/too short. I guess I kept holding on to them hoping I would gain weight and shrink?

Took 3 books to sell at the bookstore.

Went to the thrift shop, bought a stained glass sailboat (for resale), 4 (new) rolls of wallpaper, 9 hardcovers. Went to a 2nd thrift store, got 2 pairs of socks and a cookbook. (-17)

Got to the bookstore, sold the 3 books I took for that as well as all but 2 of the books I got today (8) for 11 things out.

Took two books back to the library that I think I bought? Don't know, but they weren't "loaned" as I had them in the attic! (+2)

So, today I wound up with...
-17 (thrift shop purchases) +11 (books sold)+2 (books back to library) or -4!

Yesterday I flung hangers to the dry cleaners again. Honestly, they must be doing whatever the laundry is doing when I'm not looking. I keep finding tons! I stopped counting at 20 so I'll give myself 20 for that. Also took a small donation to a food pantry of, I think, 10 to 12 items so I will give myself 10. That is 30 in all.

Another (not discarded) book returned to a library and the pocket table also given to the same library. Bought a sack of knitting stuff and placemats, so toay's net is 0!

    Sigh.

I need to pick up the pace on this challenge if I'm going to make it! My flings needed per day has gone up to 8! Ugh.

Last night we gave some friends of ours some milk, chocolate milk, and grapes from the fridge (also helps to prevent spoiling) and a couple of bags from the pantry. I think I'll just make the total 10 cause I forgot to count the items in the bag.
