Three large black trash bags full of garbage and three smaller bags full of recycle items. I'm giving myself 25 points each for the big bags and 15 for the smaller ones.

I also helped a friend of mine clean out his mother's cupboards from her house. (She died about a month ago, and they basically just boarded up the house and left it.) I felt terrible throwing away a LOT of nice/expensive but opened bags of food, but he didn't want it, and it was too hard to transport it. We filled up two large black plastic garbage bags there, too, and I DID end up bringing back two grocery bags full of stuff home, but it was all food items, so I'm not counting it against my fling.

Because I was sick Thursday, I forgot this! I took a desk organizer doodad to the thrift shop and a bag of bags. I also got 3 pint jars a pair of undies and a book, so my net is -3

I recalculated my flings per day to make my goal, and I'm down to just over a dozen a day. Still a lot, but I WAS up at about 18 per day!! So off to fling a bit more!!

I feel awful because of this, DH did the dump run, which had in it:

    4 pbs
    1 bread slice guide thingy
bread insert for crockpot with recipes
    cake pan

I must be getting better about keeping stuff. The bread insert for the crockpot I got a month ago at the dump? I found recipes for it (put the printout in it!) but it won't fit in my crock. I am NOT buying a 2nd crockpot just to be able to do bread in it, so out it went.

The bread slice thingy is a slicer guide I got NIP at a thrift shop last week. It works okay for bread baked in a pan, but much of the bread we buy is aristan bread from a local bakery and they do round loaves...it doesn't work with that type of bread...so out it goes!

Also, last night we gave away a print, so that counts too!

8 more outta here. I'm going to bed.

I'm a flinging fool today. I became ruthless and started throwing away things that I would not have thought to toss earlier this year. But as I look around, I realize that I won't ever find a way to organize this stuff, and I won't ever use most of it, so OUT IT GOES!!

If I ever get where I have ENOUGH (>3 pr) at a time, I'll join you, but until then, I'm buying more! (I can't imagine having that many, they wear out or the washer eats them around here!)

P.S. Sorry for misspelling your name!

Filled up two large black plastic lawn/leaf bags yesterday with everything from old plastic containers, degraded rubberbands, doodads that I don't understand, a few broken appliances (space heater, old cassette player, etc.)

Giving myself 50 points (25 per bag, because I know I put a heck of a lot more than 25 items per bag, but found that if I stopped to "count" each item, I would start to think about whether I should be tossing it).

Judi - I've said often that while some women enjoy buying shoes, I enjoy buying undies. I also got married about a year ago, and received a lot of cute (or not!) panties at my lingerie shower. Anyway, I finally got around to getting rid of all the ones that I don't like to wear, or that don't fit right.

I don't particularly make an event out of buying undies , but I sometimes buy the "six-pack" from our local Hanes outlet, so I probably have a couple of dozen.

Just learned how to cut my DH's hair! He doesn't have a lot of hair, but I did end up sweeping the whole bathroom and taking out the trash. I'm giving myself 5 points for the whole ordeal Also, DH took it upon himself to throw out all the outdated items in the fridge. 4 more there.

Threw out over 50 receipts I had been holding on to thinking I might use them - nope. Still have a lot I kept and will probably go through them again another day.

Finishing up the coupon notebook, finally today. So far 80 insert sheets are outta here!

I'd be going to the dump this afternoon, but we've got a winter storm advisory, so DH and I decided against it.
