We shredded checks tonight...I did 1 can (200) + 87...I counted! DH did a can full, so I'm going to count that as another 100. These were from when we were first married in 1980 or so...we've moved them 3 times!

Wow Judi u are on a roll ! The checks reminded me when I have to decide whether to keep or toss something I ask myself if I would pay someone to move it... If not I toss it ( not that I have ever used paid movers lol)

Walter the pidge is going home today. I would count him as a fling, but I didn't count him when he showed up, so I guess that wouldn't be fair.

We lived in the desert in CA when we were married, then moved to GA, then FL, then two places in NH. We've been where we are 15 years...and those checks are from when we lived in the desert. The last ones I shredded this a.m. were from 1985! I have a bunch more to do too. i'd forgotten about them, but DH uncovered them when he cleaned off the kitchen island for me.

I'm baking 12 loaves of Christmas Bread today, so I needed all the counter space. Normally this is just a dump zone. I have shredded a few of the checks from time to time, but most of them were under other things, and I'd forgotten they were there.

Today I delivered (and got paid for) the 12th box and 2 other paperbacks. I also left at the bookstore a bag of bags. We have also given away 2 of the crocks I got last month with 1/4 lb of home roast coffee beans in them. The books in the box were already counted yesterday, but the 2 paperbacks, the 2 crocks, and the bags were not, so I'll add those to my total.

Before tomorrow is over, we'll have delivered 6 more crocks of coffee and most of the 12 loaves of bread I'm baking this afternoon.

Then I have to write two headnotes! What I really need today is another 10 hours, anyone got any extra time they can fling my way?

    Happy holidays!

    Judi

Out of desperation, I'm going to count all the gifts we brought with us from home for the family. Total count: 21.

They took the bandage off his wing, and the bone is healed, but he is still having trouble flying, so they want him to have a large space to move around in, to work his muscles.

I gave him to the rehabber at 9:30a, and by noon, she was calling me telling me he hated her cage and wanted to come back to stay with me for the rest of his rehab.

He wasn't perching when I first got him, and by the time he left, he WAS perching, so they want to put him back in an environment that encourages him to do so. I have a ferret pen set up with staggered levels of perches, and birds tend to want to be on the highest perch, so he has incentive to work the wing and his legs to try to get there.

Didn't get the headnotes written, did get 12 loaves of bread baked and 4 of them delivered, with 2 crocks of home-roasted coffee. Also shredded another 125 checks.
