I'm thinking a person should count as 10 ;)
Fling a person....I am voting for it counting as 25....especially if it is an adult.
Depends on the person. Some of them aren't worth much.
Found a neat address for the flinging of old VHS tapes. Rather than just throwing them away, you can mail them (media mail) to: ACT, 2200 Burlington, Columbia, MO 65202. They are a non-profit company that provides jobs to people with disabilities. They erase the tapes, sell the ones that are still usable, and recycle the plastic parts of the ones that are not.
I went through my rug hooking patterns and flung four of them. Also sold six books on-line already. But they aren't going to be picked up till tomorrow, so I'll wait to count them.
I went through a drawer in the bathroom that had make up and all kinds of things, some were from when I was still in high school! I flung a drawer full of stuff!
Oh yeah, I find myself looking around the house at things, and thinking....hmm, might be something for flinging. :)
Flung two more items today. :)
Um, said person shall remain unanamed.
I flung another 3 items.
Flung 25 things today, mostly books....some to the library, some to goodwill and 3 to grandsons. I'm now at 149.
up to 500. i accomplished a lot yesterday by not being on fv :ponder:
8 so far- food items containing additives, preservatives, colours.
I'm still going though. Got to run out to the shed to start a YS box, as I have quite a few things to put in it! YAY for FLINGING!!!
Nine books plus a bunch of paper. Went through all my rug hooking books (stuff I inherited) and culled duplicates. Sold some curricula on-line. Also sold some books to a secondhand bookstore.
Total = 10 items.
Spent alot of time outside and in the storage trailer today. Brought in 4 items...tossed 26 items so I am adding 22 items to my total. :)
Well, I think I can add one more thing. I took a bag of grocery bags out of here and recycled it at the market. I'm NOT counting things that go to the dump, except things that go in the swap shop. But our dump doesn't recycle plastic bags. I usually give those to used bookstores or antique stores...but I had the bag in the car and the market had a collection bin for used grocery bags, so out they went!
Score: 3/2009 (At this rate, it'll be 3009 before I get to 1,000 things!)
