MM, I did something similar to you. I just started posting the little things that needed to get done. I started in Sat, then started moving the more complicated/time-consuming ones down the list as I came up with more. Eventually, and far too quickly, I had them all!! Some of my Sat/Sunday items are more difficult than the other weekday tasks, but that is because I work outside the home, so I will have a lot less time to accomplish things M-F.

madhen, must admit I had to go and reread - what did I say? Multitasking you know!!

This is exciting. I think the anticipation of planning and doing this makes it more so!!

Mahalo plenty for helping us get excited about doing all those things we never go around to!! Did you major in child psychology? Think I will use this technique in many different areas!!

No, English Lit. But I have the attention span of a small child. Does that count?

    Sunday's list

    1) complete 2 dishcloths
    2) spend 1 hour on mallards cross stitch
    3) spend 1 hour on new set of slippers
    4) put clean towels on table away
    5) put a new load of towels in the washer
    6) put away stack of magazines that have been on the coffee table
    7) wipe down my crocs
    8) change alcohol in my razor jar
    9) throw away old mascara
    10) wash and dry old mascara wand to use as an eyebrow brush

Feeling under the weather so I'm going to stick with really easy stuff and things I can do sitting down.

Great list, Pollypurebred39!! The purpose of this "challenge" is to be successful, so good job in being realistic and not trying to bite off more than you can chew. Even so, it looks like a pretty full day to me!

I used my incredible Purdue grad math skills and figured out it comes out to 43 tasks.

Furthermore, I figured to spend one hour per day on said tasks.

Therefore, on the first day, 12 tasks x 5 minutes each = 60 minutes.
    Day two, 10 tasks x 6 minutes each = 60 minutes
    Day three 8 tasks x 8 minutes = 64 minutes (overtime!!)
    Day four 6 tasks x 10 minutes = 60 minutes
    Day five 4 tasks x 15 minutes = 60 minutes
    Day six 2 tasks x 30 minutes = 60 minutes
    Day seven 1 task x 60 minutes = 60 minutes

Furthermore, I'm starting on Saturday, as it's my 'sleep deprivation day (I only get around 3-4 hours due to my work schedule) and 5 minutes is about all I'll be able to concentrate at a time more than likely.

Ooooohhhh.... my inner nerd is feeling so much better!!!

MaryCarney, great way to figure out your tasks by order of difficulty! You'll win the golden slide rule award yet!

I agree with Madhen, great job MaryCarney. I'm an accountant, so I really appreciate those numbers. It will also help me figure out what tasks I can do and fit into the time! I need to rearrange some of the ones that I already put on my list!
