No flinging going on here lately.
I have only had 3 days off in the last 40 so not much time to do anything.
Have a LONG weekend starting tomorrow and hope to tackle a couple of areas and start flinging again.
Did clean out DH dresser and got rid of 2 pairs of jeans and 3 t-shirts.
    So 555/1000

I'm so failing this challenge for 2009. I haven't purged anything else, but I did pull some old clothes and thermal pjs that are outgrown and start cutting them to make memory quilts. I've done some reorganizing/straigtening, but no purging. I tell you that last year's Fall Fling really got us trimmed down! I'm still not giving up though . . .

Is there a Winter Fling? I am too late to join the Fall Fling.

~You're welcome to join us sinopa! We have a month to go still in the Fall Fling and many of us could use the motivation of more participants.
I know I need motivation. I'm avoiding my boxes of papers like they're full of snakes or something.
You can choose any number you'd like, it doesn't have to be 1000. ~

Cleaned part of DS room today.
Lots of clothes to donate and a bunch of odds and ends.
    Lots of trash went too.
Flung about 100 items form his room and still not done.
He has high functioning autism and can only tolerate so much so will be doing some more of his room in then next few weeks.
    Total flung so far

Went through the kids shoes and boots and found 10 pairs between the 4 of them that don't fit anymore. Then went through one of the piles of stuff that has been building up and got rid of another 12 things. So now I'm at 283.

~We have 3 weeks to go so let's get flinging!
Yesterday I cleaned around my sewing table and filled a bag with papers and fabric scraps. I count grocery bags of trash as 25.~

Today I got busy and went through the house looking for stuff to get rid of. I found some stuff in the craft bin, file cabinet, closets, mitten basket and junk drawer. So now I'm up to 306.

I had a huge garage sale the week before this fling started and am having a hard time finding stuff. I find some stuff but in small amounts. Oh well, still trying.

~This year has been hard for me to. I'm having a hard time parting with anything after doing this two years already.
It's really the year of paper for me. I have two big totes full of school papers, financial records and who-knows papers. I just hate sorting papers. ~

I knew I'd have a hard time flinging this year as well. I haven't done much in the last several weeks and have not kept good track of what I have flung.

I do know that I passed on to friends at least 25 kids clothing items, ditched at least a dozen items from the desk the other day, and cleared out a sack of paper from a closet. Oh, and I remeber sending my kid straight out to the trash with something I didn't want anyone pulling out of the garbage but I can't remember what it was and at least 4 items went when I pulled out the Christmas stuff. So that's 43 more.

Went through my daughters room with her and came up with more stuff. I am now up to 342.

~I spent 2 hours cleaning the kids' room this morning and filled a bag of broken stuff to trash and a bag of good stuff to donate. I'm counting those as 25 each.~

    ~Today is the final day!
I'm pretty sure I won't make it to 1000 by the end of the day today since I'm only at 400 but I'm going to do my best to get to 500 today, maybe I'll do even better.
I really slacked on getting out to the shed to purge. I know I could have gotten at least 150 things out of there had not the invading squirrels scared me off.
I'm off to fill up some bags. ~
