This idea came to me from Sewcrafty:

Clean out your tea kettle and coffee pot.

Put white vinegar in your tea kettle and boil for 5-10 minutes. This will not only clean the tea kettle, expecially if you have hard water, it will also deodorize your home. (This is a strong odor, so you may want to open a window.) When done, pour the vinegar down your kitchen drains to freshen them and wash tea kettle in soapy water, rinse well.

If you have a drip coffee maker, fill the carafe with white vinegar, and run through your coffee maker, making sure you use a paper coffee filter. This will get all the impurities and hard water build up out of the tiny line the water feeds through. Take a look at the filter when it is done! YUK! When finished, allow the coffee maker to cool, then run at least 2 pots of clean water through to get rid of the vinegar odor. You may want to use a clean coffee filter for this depending on how yucky the first one is.

Now when you serve coffee or tea to your holiday guests, everything will taste nice and fresh. Thanks, Diana for that tip!

:pilgrim:

If you are hosting guests tomorrow, why not set your table today/tonight? That way you have time to set it properly and add any personal touches you desire. Tomorrow you can concentrate on cooking and entertaining your guests.

Finish any last minute tidying up today. Take out newspapers, empty trashcans, freshen up guest rooms, freshen up powder rooms, clean mirrors, spot clean any spots on your carpet, mop your floor-please don't do all of these if you don't need to! Just pick what you need to do off the list and do them. Enlist the kids help, they'll be home early today if they're not already there!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. There will be no clean house challenge for the holiday tomorrow! :pilgrim: Enjoy your company instead!
