Cleaned up the upstairs bathroom (put make-up and brushes and such away); washed one load of laundry; visited home of potential next foster dog.

    3 down, 19 to go.

Put away one load of dishes, watered all the indoor plants, loaded the d/w with the next round of dishes.

    16 to go!

Okay, I made myself empty the bin and put it away. I have to force myself to do the tedious stuff on my list, otherwise I will never do it. My room is such a mess of stuff waiting to be organized. The entire rest of the house is clutter free, just everything in limbo ends up in here.

I'll get some badges sewn on tonight when kids are in bed and dh is studying.

I spent the entire afternoon sorting, sifting through, filing and shredding paperwork. Ack! It feels soooo wonderful to get so caught up. I've been years behind for who knows how long. This feels GREAT!!! I still have a ways to go, but I'm miles ahead.

Cooked up some bacon that has been sitting in my fridge for a long time. I intended to cook it up to use in some savory muffins, but never got around to it. Same with some hashbrowns I kept intending to cook up to use in some OAMC burritos. So 2 more down!

    14 to go!!

QM - you are really inspiring me with your paper decluttering!! While I too am making progress, there's a lot more to go - that's why I have to attend to it daily - too easy to forget about it and that's when the boxes of paper start multiplying!!

Madhen - I am really trying to get on top of all those extras in the refrigerator that usually get ignored and thrown out - we are now using them up in fun meals. DH made a grilled sandwich with leftover cheese and small steak slices.

Frugality is the mother of creativity for sure!!

I was actually surprised that the hashbrowns weren't expired yet. I can't even remember when I bought them. They have been in the downstairs freezer, where I don't see them. Same with the bacon - it was in the crisper. I have found that the trick is to have the stuff right in front of me in the fridge, so I literally have to move it to get to anything.

Load of laundry done, btw, which brings me to 13!!

Made a pair of Christmas earrings and finished my Dog book. Cleaned the counters in the kitchen (especially necessary after cooking bacon).

Wiped down the inside/outside of the microwave; cleaned the kitchen ceiling; finished reading my book (actually did this earlier but didn't list it).

You are almost done madhen and will have time to spare!!

I finished my first load of laundry and am waiting on the second. Now I need to iron and then cut the flour sack towels before I add the matching band on one end. Just checked - the toweling is 100% cotton made in Pakistan. It shrinks up - jut like tshirts do - that's why I preshrink it.

Made the Sausage bean soup for dinner tonight and am freezing a dinner size portion right away so it doesn't go to waste someplace in the bowels of the refrigerator.

DD called with a request to find some paperwork for her eternal quest to clean up the medical insurance mess from all of her surgeries, therapies, etc. I am so impressed with her paperwork and her ability to stay on top of it all - it's wonderful!! So, I'll do that first then get the ironing board out.

    Keep those accomplishments coming!!

Found a home for a dozen things in my walk-in closet; hung up all my clean laundry; de-cluttered the livingroom couch.

    2 things left!!
