I started out the day by freecycling my Cookie Bible cookbook. So, I'll add one to my total and start hunting around the house to see what else can go!

I flung a cruddy-looking plastic water dish. I have ceramic ones, and the plastic ones get pretty grungy-looking after a few years, so I decided I didn't need it anymore.

Tossed 2 grocery bags full of old receipts etc. I keep 7 years worth, so out went 2002. Count as 2 flings.
2 catalogs, 3 butter bowls with no lids. Still have a ton.
Gave away 26 baby food jars to be used as favors for a friend's daughter's baby shower.

Flung an old newspaper and some scrap papers with notes on them. Calling it 3. I haven't made it to 6 flings per day yet, but I figure if I can fling at least a little every day, there will be days when I fling way more than 6, and hopefully it will even out?

Just sold a humongous box of scrapbooking items for 40$. Counting as 5 items due to the huge amount of things in it.

Selling an old armoire for 75$ and it's getting picked up tomorrow.

    So 6 items gone!

I'm an obsessive flinger. At first I thought there is no way I even have 2010 things left to fling, but I'm sure I'll find something

So far this year I have put into my donation bag:
    1 purse
    5 Christmas stockings
    1 candy dish
    8 placemats
    3 hot mats
    1 bundle of unused diapers

Gave dh 3 bundles of papers to put in the shredder.

Went shopping today, but just bought consumables.

This is something I really need to do and that I'm really really bad at...but 6 items a day, that makes it sound so easy and I'm sure I can do that much!

When it is broken down LB it does sound a lot more managable, and just think, by the end of the year you will have 2010 less things in your house taking up space!

I'm in this challenge again this year. I didn't make it to 2009 items last year, but I got rid of about 1400 items. That was double what I got rid of in 2008, so I'm inspired to keep going!
