Debbie-cat, that's really cute! What is a penny rug though exactly? How big is it?
I finally got my yarn untangled and rolled into a ball and last night I did about 9 or so rows...not a lot, but I'm going to do more today. I hurt my back exercising so I can rest and do my knitting on the couch. The clutch purse is going to be pretty, but I need to shop for the beads for it. I have a long way to go though til I get to that point.

Thanks val. It is large enough to sit on a table and have a vase of flowers or a potted plant on it. It is about 2x1 feet.

Finished my first quilt. Will be given to my Mom for Christmas as she loves the colors.

Ooh, I like the quilt, Debbie-cat! I did about 13 or 14 rows on my clutch purse last night.

I have a question about a possible Christmas gift and would like your opinions:
I have a set of Christmas glasses - 10 oz. on a pedastal base with a gold trim around the rim and Christmas decorations on the clear glass. For several years now, my plan was to use fill them with candy and use them for Christmas gifts for school staff. I still haven't done that yet. Should I save them for this Christmas as a lovely frugal gift or sell them - probably for $2-3 for the set at our yard sale next week? Mahalo!!

I would save them MM. Just put them in your gift box and you will always have an instant gift if needed. :)

That's what I thought too DC - especially after I read what I wrote. Guess I just needed to get them out of my hutch. Mahalo for the input!!

I finished the flap on the clutch purse I'm knitting and all I have left to do now is the handle and stitch the sides closed...oh, and add the velcro closure. I made this same type of clutch before for myself, but I'm not crazy about the way the handle attaches so will be learning a new way to do it tonight in knitting class. Then I'll try to post a pic of it!
