Cinnamon toothpicks sound interesting - how do you make them?
If you make the placemat totes for men, I suggest you put velcro on the top and eliminate the handles. Let me know what thoughts you have on this!!
The cinnamon toothpicks seem easy.
Pretty much everything says to do them like this.
Cool manda! Great idea! :)
Mahalo Manda - am going to make some for DH - love this idea!! and it is so easy!!
Here is my project for Jan! It is WRAPPED!!!!! woo hoo! Color is bad, the socks are really shades of pink and the round dove at the top is the top of the box to wrap the socks in....
Vicki, I LOVE the socks! Congrats on finishing them! :)
The socks are gorgeous - what fine work you do!!
Could make placemats into backpacks - let me play around with this one too!!
Finished a set of snowmen pillows today for my SIL. :fdance:
Congrats Debbie and now?......do I need to say it?......think not.........I know that you will post the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ all by yourself!! ;)
Yes, MM, will tomorrow. :)
Mahalo Debbie - I too love snowmen so cannot wait to see them and be even more inspired!!
Awesome, Vicki and Debbie! :) I am about halfway through my first gift - I tried making a coasters and placemat set for my in-laws. It's one of my first times trying stranding in knit for the coasters, and it didnt come out perfect so depending on how many other gifts I finish I may do them again. However I am kinda stuck with the placemats. I couldn't find a pattern I liked so I am trying to make it myself. however I am fairly new to knit!
Can you all answer a question for me (debbie, vicki, other knitters?) I am trying to make a star inside a stockinette fabric. I thought I could do it on the knit side with purl bumps. would I just purl all the way back and the pattern will "pop" up? or do I have to figure out how to do it from both sides (in which case I will scrap the project and find a pattern!) :) Thanks!
