Can I play too? I do need to do this challenge. I have become horrible at housework and little tasks -- but I am a gold medalist in procrastination. I seem to have so little motivation that I just don't get started. I'm wondering if public shame would help.

I remember looking at the thread some time ago, an it seemed there was a pyramid structure that isn't apparent looking at everyone's last week's posts. I know we play challenges by our own rules, more or less, but can someone give me some hints? It seems you begin the weeks on Saturdays? Any "typical" number of tasks? They seem to range from large to small.

I won't enjoy this challenge very much - it will be medicinal. But doing it here could be the little bit of sugar....

Donna, I am so glad that you are joining us!! The original pyramid was a traditional one - bottom heavy. Start with 12 tasks on Saturday and decrease by two each day. Somepeople preferred wo write up a whole week's worth of tasks, while others worked it around their individual schedules. I do different ones throughout the weeks - whatever seems to be best for the time.

Madhen, I really am tired of this week - has been strange to say the least. I never thought that I would be out of work for 3 straight days - and then miss my trip to Kauai this weekend!! Definitely need to get a handle on my health....again......still....

    Saturday
    1. Sign and return papers to close out accident last May
    2. Go through 2 boxes of paperwork
    3. Pack box for DD and RAOK
    4. Mail boxes

Thanks, Maui. I will just do a general To Do list then, marking off, adding as other things come to mind.

My heaviest work days are Saturday and Sunday, with long shifts - well, except tomorrow when I go in late because I worked a double shift today. My off days are Tuesday & Wednesday, usually, so those will be my "up and doing days. At least in theory.

I'll think about my first list tomorrow. I get to go home in 2 minutes, and since I've been here since 10 a.m., not a minute too soon.

13 hours. Better than a double on Saturday - those are 14. How do nurses do it, day after day? At least I have a zero stress sitting down job! Still, it doesn't stop me from whining about it.

Ok. My first weekly To Do list. I'm going to list tasks by piority.

    TOP PRIORITY
Assemble and test new vaccum (sitting in it's box for 2 weeks)
    Clean bathroom
    Water plants
Mail amended tax return (and letter to sister)
    Clean disgusting microwave

    HIGH PRIORITY
Take all trash and boxes to dumpster
    Mop bathroom
    Mop kitchen
    Vacuum living room
    Vacuum bedroom
    Pay CC bills

    MEDIUM PRIORITY
    Straighten and dust bedroom
    Finish aghan
February balance sheet, end of month accounting
Summary entry for Feb household journal
    EF fund deposit
    Clean window sills
Wash and move stored containers to kitchen

    LOW PRIORITY
    Clean toaster oven
    Mop dining room
    Clear off small kitchen counter
    Sort coupons
    Make jello
Eye exam - waiting for a cloudy/rainy day

Wish me luck and humiliate me if I don't get a good chunk of this done, unless I turn up with a doctor's excuse.
