New habits being formed........
We had company yesterday for a nice steak dinner (they provided the steak, and salad)....anyway I left the kitchen the way it was after dinner and my company and I went to the movies.
I could not sleep last night and got up for a drink of water. I looked at the kitchen and stopped right then and there and did my dishes and cleaned the kitchen back up.
After taking months to declutter and clean it, I just couldn't bring myself to get up in the moring to a mess in the kitchen. I plan to keep this up and do the dishes and clean the kitchen every night before I go to bed. -

yes it is! I walked into the kitchen this morning, looked around and smiled! I want to feel this way every morning.
Now, I just need to get the rest of the house finished completely so I can feel that way about every room!
Thanks! -

Great job! It does help to do a little each time. I like to clean up before I leave for work in the morning because then when I come home from work and am tired the dishes are already clean in the dishwasher, nothing piled in the sink, etc. It helps me be in the mood to make dinner when I have a clean slate to work with.
Sounds like a very nice and frugal evening you had! -

I try to do that too, though I have to admit the record is a little spotty at best. But like you, it is so much better to walk into a clean morning kitchen that it's worth the effort, even if it's really late.
