Very nice! It's great to get stuff spruced up, isn't it?

Is that the new "frog tape" and can you compare it to the blue painters tape?

Got a bunch more done in the sewing room today. I'll be glad when it's done, but I still have a long ways to go.

Yes, Russ, it is indeed frog tape. I've been using it about a year now and won't buy anything else because it really makes a difference. Its selling point is that the edges are impregnated with the same absorbent material that's in disposable diapers. I found that if your brush is overloaded with paint and you glop it against the tape, you're still likely to get some bleed-through, but that's more of a user error and not a product error to me. Frog tape does cost a bit more, but my time and sanity are worth something, too. HTH!

Thanks. I was wondering about the tape and had read some reviews on it, but you wonder sometime about those "reviews". Nice to get a review from someone with real world experience.

Still working on the sewing room and will be for some time. But at least it's on the radar now and I'm making progress every day.

First weekend when it hasn't been pouring rain outside, so I am hoping to get a little more work done on the deck and maybe start my backyard project, as well. I took "before" pics of the deck. I'll take more when I get all the plants off of it, then after it is painted, then again when I get everything back on the way I want. I can't do much out there, because it is too hot to really stay out there in the summer and the wind blows so hard in the winter, it will knock everything that isn't bolted down off and carry it to my idiot neighbor's yard. But I do want to set it up so I can maybe grill out there on some summer evenings, and have a couple of plants out there for colour.

The backyard project is going to be more of my "hang out on hot summer days/nights" area, if I get it right. It is a very small flat patch of dirt behind my house right now, fenced because I used it for the foster puppies. I'll take pics today and post them.

We're thinking of moving a freezer into my sewing room again. I'm not opposed! I had it in there right after we moved in and it made a great cutting table, nice height and not a clutter collector since it had to be opened frequently. I had already decided to get rid of the table I have in there because it IS a clutter collector and I can never use it anyway. So we'll see. We measured some stuff in there but didn't actually organize anything so never mind.

I never thought of a freezer being a great cutting table SD. That's a great idea since I am so tall, it would be the perfect height, plus doing double duty with holding the stockpile! Thanks for the idea.

Here are pics of the backyard and what I am working with. It has been a storage place for gardening supplies, so I may create a space to continue that trend, but in an orderly way. The "stuff" in the fence is nesting material stuffed in the fence for wild birds, but it is over a year old, so it needs to go. I have also had chickens out there, so there is an old waterer that needs to go. The extra chain link section needs to go to the bone pile or be added. The mister line needs to be reset. The shade cloth needs to be removed and put away. I want a seating area out there, under the silk tree, so that when the tree matures, it will provide shade (which is why it is located on the SW side of the pen, where the sun blasts in on summer afternoons).

It looks like it'll be a wonderful space when you get it the way you want it, MH.

Debbie, the height of the freezer is why I liked it for a cutting table. It's in an unheated porch now so doesn't work in the winter for me anymore. It was also a nice width for most fabrics when the fabrics were doubled.

We're still debating about getting a second freezer. Our needs have changed recently so it might be a good addition for us.
