Love the yellow in your bathroom Melody - looks so clean and fresh!!
Today I hired the daughter of one of my assistants (she's over 6') to take down and wash all the plates I have displayed on top of the kitchen cabinets and clean the space too - best $20 I've ever spent - it took her almost 2 hours and she did a great job!! She also helped me put on the just washed slip cover for the couch!!
I have another free weekend since the family is on the mainland!! Time to go through some more boxes and hoefully get some more sewing done.
The last thing that DH brought home from the rental space is a ship model that we used to have in our shop - it is so weel done - by a Lahaina man who has passed away. I'm planning on finding the perfect location for it while he's gone!! Think I'll take a picture of it too since it is going on the market soon!!

Thanks maui - I like the brighter yellow much more, too :-) It makes me happy with the apple green and the hot pink.
Sounds like that was indeed $20 well spent!

I just stored all my card making supplies in the unit that a friend gave me - while the materials will still be in the LR, they are contained in one place, easily accessible and tucked away - better than the bags (tasteful but still bags) that they were stored in recently.
For now, I am going to put the ship model on top of the shell display case.
Things are coming together - albeit extremely slowly!!

We haven't heard anything from the walk-thru on Friday yet. I don't know if the protocol is to wait until a weekday to make an offer or what, but I feel like we'll be here in this house a while longer.
I spray painted the console table black in a satin finish yesterday and spray painted its existing knobs with an antique gold metallic paint today. Accessorized w/ a lamp, 2 Readers Digest books, and a small fake plant (all Goodwill finds). The mirror is antique and was a wedding gift from my great-aunt. The house actually has an "official" entryway now! I guess July will focus on just the porch and hanging a full length mirror in the master bath. Annnd, who knows what else I cram in. Also contemplating making a new wreath ...

You always do such a beautiful job.

That looks lovely mymelody! I hope you hear something first thing Monday morning. :)

Thanks Spirit Deer and Debbie-cat! If I don't hear anything from the people who viewed the house, I'll just keep plugging along w/ small projects. DH took pics of the updated bathroom and entry area to the realtor on a jump drive today, so they will be on our listing on the real estate website. I wrote descriptions for each room to add as captions perhaps to hook someone's interest and those will be added later. I guess it seems a little obsessive, but at least we won't have to look back and wonder if we truly tried everything we could.

My project for this month was to keep my garden going. Although it has been cold and rainy, it hasn't been doing bad. I will continue with this goal next month since we also sold DFiL's house and have been moving 54 years worth of his life into one of our outbuildings. It has taken up two weeks worth of time so far. Almost done and then we will just sweep and give it a quick clean. before Thursday. :)

I'm still not doing anything to get more organized. At least it doesn't seem like it, although I've done little stuff like shove things around a little bit to tidy up the pantry. But I still haven't installed the pull-out we bought for the liquor cabinet in May, even though it's only going to take a few minutes. No progress on straightening up the corner of the garage, either. It's been either too rainy or too buggy to be outside a lot lately.

Spirit Deer, it's muggy and hot here, too :-/ It can really be a deterrent to progress!

I'll take our muggy and hot over your muggy and hot any day! And the rain, too! I haven't been in AR at this time of year, but I've been in Missouri and that was bad enough!

Yep, it stinks!
Going to get brackets to hang the mirror today, I think.

DH listed the house on the classifieds section of his job's website for a little extra traffic. Got one call already -- unfortunately, it was a coworker of his with whom I went to high school, just being nosy :-p
Bought mirror brackets, but that's all the progress I can note! The porch is clean, but no "sprucing" (plants, etc) has taken place yet. But DH had yesterday off and cleaned house thoroughly, which at least keeps us ready for the next time!

I need to make curtains for our three-seasons room. My husband wants a Roman shade. I told him, I'd sew, he can do the hardware :) He's very busy with work, so I am thinking I will be responsible for the whole project. I'll plan on sewing this evening when we get home from the zoo.

missyali, I have a few links for no-sew roman shade tutorials that use a vinyl blind as a base if you'd be interested.
