    -Four loads of laundry.
-Going through recipes trying to decide on menus.
-Cooked corned beef, cabbage and potato pancakes (the potato pancakes were a HUGE hit).
    -Did dishes after dinner.

Doesn't seem like much but what I really wanted to do today was curl up on the sofa and snooze this cold away....ha, if only that would work! Anyway, I think I'm finally going to spend a little time knitting while watching "Animal House". That's the other thing I wanted to do today and haven't gotten to yet.

Well, today I didn't do that much except for going to three grocery stores to buy our monthly groceries. Then I had to haul them home and put them up. Dh helped with that last part. Oh, and I cooked breakfast...that's it. Tired and don't feel like doing more...How'd everyone else do?

Got all the clean laundry folded and/or put away. I am in the process of making breadsticks, and I'll freeze those for later dinners. Working on my pyramid challenge, today being my day to do twelve things, and I've got nine of them done so far!

I would like to join in to do something every day. I'm not going to count routine tasks - although I certainly need some motivation to get those done. I have so many half finished projects and rooms around here that I need to be doing something everyday that actually moves a project forward.

So, today I put up the chalkboard I painted last week and hung two pictures in my daughter's room. Last night I made a research checklist for the genealogy project I am working on (to track what I have found for each individual, so I don't keep repeating the same searches) - sorted, searched, downloaded and checked off all the records for two individuals today.

Breadsticks sound yummy to me right now! Wish I had one! Do you put garlic on some of them? I think I need a snack. I haven't eaten much today...Skier's Swiss Oatmeal for breakfast, a Snickers bar, and a sesame seed bagel with cream cheese and honey this evening...I'm still hungry! LOL!

Val, how do you make your Skier's Swiss Oatmeal?

I didn't do anything. Seriously, I did nothing! Need to do some wash tonight.

I didn't get much done today except get my DS safely back to University. Oh I also made dinner and finished dishes. Now I am unwinding by starting to knit a pair of socks. Not sure how relaxing THAT is but at least I am not driving on icy roads with deer popping out in front of me at every turn!

The breadsticks were FANTASTIC!! I have the link in the Try New Recipes challenge. VERY easy to make (although I did cheat and knead the dough with my bread machine). I got tired of trying to roll them into sticks, so I just squeezed and muscled each one into shape, and they still turned out wonderfully.

    Skier's Swiss Cereal
    Ingredients:
    1 cup rolled oat
1 teaspoon orange zest, very finely chopped
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    2 tablespoons dried tart cherries
2 cups skim milk or a cup of milk and one of half-and-half
    brown sugar
    cream or butter or milk

    Directions:
1 The night before, combine the oats, zest, cinnamon, and cherries in a glass bowl. Stir well, then stir in the milk. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate. 2 In the morning, place the mixture in a medium-sized saucepan and bring it to a simmer. 3 Lower the heat and cook, stirring frequently, for 4 to 6 minutes, or until the oats are tender and the mixture is thick. 4 Serve immediately, either as it is or with brown sugar or granulated sugar, and cream, butter, or milk.

Polly, this is sooooo good! It's one of my new favorite things. I just use dried cherries from the grocery store and of course the other stuff.

I washed up all the dishes before leaving, so I get to come home to a clean sink!

I could not wait to get home to join this thread. For me, I need to be more on top of the daily stuff in addition to whatever else needs doing.

    My daily list consists of:
    Clearing off the couch
    Doing all dishes before bedtime
    Clean up MB sink area
    Pack lunch
    Layout clothes the night before
    Make bed in the morning

That's it - and it sure doesn't look like much!! Perhaps it will help if I am accountable here and just add on whatever else I get done!!

I did clear off the couch before I left this morning!!

Maui, I'm glad that you joined us. I'm going to use this challenge to make myself be more accountable...to DO more. Some days I feel like I don't do anything.

    Today:
    1. I folded and put away a basket of clothes.
    2. Hung some clothes to dry in the house.
    3. Gathered dirty clothes from all over the house from where "they" (meaning the four guys) dropped them.
    4. Washed and dried a load of towels.
    5. Did a quick clean of our master bathroom (sink, mirror, and toilet only)...tub just got a spray with lysol mist stuff.
    6. Cleaned off the kitchen table and put all the junk on it away either in the trash or in whatever room it belonged in. It amazes me the stuff that accumulates there...here's some of the things I found there today...a bag of meds, toys, homeschool stuff, coupons, paper scraps from something ds9 cut out, a sweatband, a handmade necklace ds9 made, a pair of fingernail clippers (yuck!), bills, junk mail, bowties (actually hanging on one of the chairs), a Disney World Grumpy pin, a cowboy hat (on chair), a pair of dirty socks (who the heck did that? Double yuck!), a Lego Harry Potter game, a pile of bottle caps, paperclips that someone straightened out (dangerous!), a laptop, and I'm sure there was more. That's just all I remember at the moment. Do you see why I feel like I'm beating a dead horse around here?
    7. Made lunch and cooked supper and did part of the clean-up (dh did the rest)
    8. Baked biscuits for tomorrow's breakfast.
    9. Unloaded dishwasher and put dishes away.
    10. Now I'm going to look over my lesson plans for the week to refresh myself and I'm done for the day.

    How'd everyone else do?
