MH - I don't know, if it's as exciting giving dogs meds as it was with my cats and birds ... I want a video! But then, you're probably a lot better at it than I was.

Flea/tick meds are easy. I just drip the stuff on while the dogs are eating. They never even know I did it.

MM, I was wondering why you wanted a pic! Sorry it looks so spindly right now. I promise, later this year, it will be quite lovely. It is still just leaves, but might get a blossom or two this summer, if it survives the transplant.

My most despised job of the cycle of the year is upon me at work, so I am going to list it in my tasks for work days. The job of all the rest of you is to nag me if I don't get it done. Focus group transcription. Five of them. Two thumbs down. These are student group meetings - where the students say the same things year after year, and they can't be just minutes. The director insists on a word by word transcription, no one can figure out why. Every um, well, you see, and laughter indicated - and often more than one are talking at the same time, the recording quality is sometimes bad ... my list of woes goes on and on. It takes forever and is BORING and frustrating. As usual, the people who make the (dumb) rules don't do the work. Minutes would serve the purpose just as well.

    Sunday
    6. Make grocery list
    7. Make Walgreens list
    12. Focus group transciption
    13. Charge Kindle
    14. Charge MP3 player

    Monday:
    8. Dentist
    9. Kroger
    10. Walgreens
    11. Put away shopping
    15. Cook green beans before they rot from neglect

    Stragglers:
Drop off donation items (during the week)
    Write my sister

    Today's accomplishments:

    1. Oooo'ed and aaaahhh'ed over amazingly fast growth of mushrooms.
    2. Laughed at husband enjoying watching mushrooms grow so much he keeps trying to figure out a way to make them cost-effective, which doesn't seem possible.
    2b. Medicated dog.
    3. Made rice.
    4. Made 75 chili rellenos for freezer.
    5. Cleaned up mess from chili rellenos.
    6. Cleaned some science projects out of fridge.
    7. Washed up GW finds so they're ready for use now.
    8. Cleaned up dishes from fridge science projects.
    9. Watched The Fog to see if Tom Welling is still a hottie. :
    10. Stayed far, far away from huge deadly frosted cinnamon rolls someone bought yesterday.

Not a hugely productive day, but I'm tired from yesterday.

    Monday's list:

    1. Finish column and send to publisher. No, really, I mean it this time.
    2. Round up pictures for article.
    3. Track every bite of food I eat.
    4. Transplant seedlings.
    5. Pollinate tomatoes and peppers.
    6. Work on beaded bottle.
    7. Spray mushrooms.
    8. Work in sewing room.

Still working on my list, and I shouldn't even be online because it's such a time-suck I've decided not to be on during the day. But I had to ship my article, which I finished instead of my column. They both have to be done this week so I'm happy either way and claiming credit for purposes of my challenge!

I had one mushroom last night ready to harvest, and today the box is FULL! It's killing me not to order another kit so I might succumb. It's expensive but how else can I get organic mushrooms that are totally fresh and not from questionable sources, plus have the fun of watching them grow? Some things are worth more than money. I'm making a mushroom/carrot salad for supper with HM blue cheese dressing. New recipe, so I'm curious if it'll be any good. The dressing is pretty tasty! Fun, fun.

I know I'm repeating myself but I just can't get over how fast the mushrooms are maturing and how productive they are.

Heavy thunderstorms. They've passed now, but after I left the dentist I looked at my grocery list and decided there wasn't a thing on it I wanted badly enough to stop.

Good news at the dentist. After x-rays and all his tests and a lot of working with floss between two tight molars he finally found a tiny, tiny bit of popcorn kernal wedged between them. He said that could cause all the cold sensitivity and throbbing pain, and it should gradually get better over the next two or three days. And my insurance covered it ALL. No more popcorn. Ever again.

    Monday:
    Dentist - done
Kroger scrapped. Maybe later in the week
    Walgreens - done
    Put away shopping
Cook green beans before they rot from neglect
Call library to check e-mail address correction
    Cook for next two days

    Stragglers:
Drop off donation items (during the week)
    Write my sister - done

Just got back from Los Angeles and haven't even come up with a list for today yet, much less accomplished any of it!

    From Monday, my stragglers are:

    1. Plant new seeds
    2. Review summaries
    Today's list:
    1. Round up chickens (let them out for some fresh air) before going to bed
    2. Water all the plantlings
    3. Put away all clean laundry
    4. Unpack from Los Angeles
    5. Pack for Pennsylvania
    6. Go through DVR'd shows and delete any that I don't care about, so I don't lose those I DO care about for lack of disk space
