Today was a mixed bag. I felt like a gerbil on a wheel, running and running and getting nowhere. I got my article submitted so that's the main thing I needed to accomplish today.

    Monday's list:

    1. Finish column and send to publisher. SORTA. I finished my article instead so I'm claiming this one as done.
    2. Round up pictures for article. NOT QUITE, but I dragged coolers to the truck so they're ready for their close-up.
    3. Track every bite of food I eat.
    4. Transplant seedlings. DONE, and I condensed the plants still too small to transplant into one AG and shut down and cleaned the other.
    5. Pollinate tomatoes and peppers. DONE
    6. Work on beaded bottle. NOPE
    7. Spray mushrooms. YUP, and harvested almost a pound of them, too.
    8. Work in sewing room. NOPE, unless spraying mushrooms that live in the sewing room counts, but I doubt it.

So now we're up to Tuesday already:

    1. Finish stupid column.
    2. Track food.
    3. Bead bottle.
    4. Find stupid recipes for stupid column.
    5. Work in sewing room.
    6. Load dishwasher.

gapeach, when this started, it was a pyramid shape of tasks - 12 the first day, 10 the next, etc. It comes out to 43 at the end. But we are free spirits and you can do anything you want. My work schedule doesn't fit the traditional pyramid at all, so I usually just shoot for 43 but often even that doesn't happen.

I pretty much got through all the others, so I'm starting a fresh list. I've lost count. So it's just a list this week.

    Wednesday:

Drop off donations to Providence House
    Get change for Stephen
    Pick up interlibrary loan book
    Mail letter
    Focus Group 1 transcription

MM- you're right about the transcription - just do it. I worked about 40 minutes on the other night and got the first 3:02 minutes of it done. It is so slow. And this group has one speaker who is incredibly difficult. She only said a couple of sentences and had to replay them at least a dozen or more times to get them. If she has much to say it's going to take forever. I let my student workers listen to her and they were laughing hysterically at my plight. Gee, thanks guys! At least this meeting was short, only about 25 minutes. There are 4 more after this, but I don't they have been held yet.

No transcription - I had other assignments when I got to work. Friday night I'll be training a new person, but I'll work on it this weekend.

    Thursday tasks:

    Pull yarn for new project
    Catch up with dishes
Cook for meals through the weekend
Read interlibrary loan book (great, so far!)

That's all I can think of for now.

I took today off. I needed to remind myself why I ever thought I wanted to be a writer. Or maybe I needed to forget I am. The past two days have not been fun AT ALL. Oh, well, I'm okay and moving on....

I did do a few things:

    1. Made chili-garlic sauce for the first time, yummy!
    2. Tended tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, and seedlings.
    3. Read lots of pages.
    4. Tracked my food and stayed under 1,300 calories.

I lost count of how many things I've done from my list this week, but that's okay.

    Thursday's list:

    1. Rewrite #@&! column. *sigh*
    2. Track food.

I was going through a stack of untried recipes today and decided for next week, my theme is to make a new recipe every day. Should be fun! And help alleviate some of my current boredom with our food. Anyone want to join me? I don't plan to do elaborate things, just some of the simple stuff I've been meaning to try for a while. And some will be variations on things I've tried before, like making wheat tortillas instead of white.

Trying new recipes is noble, and I always have good intentions, but it never happens. But thinking of things I only make once in a blue moon, I have frozen pie shells and canned milk I need to use up. I have ham in the freezer and I think a bag of shredded swiss cheese, and a lot of onions - ditto on using up. That sounds like a quiche to me! Maybe I'll make one tomorrow.

Not sure I'll manage to cook something new every day either, but it's worth a try. There are so many things I want to try and I never seem to get to them.

I tracked my food today, including the cookies I had for lunch.

Still no luck on my column, which is not my fault. Ugh.

    Friday's list:

    1. Finish beaded bottle that I've had to start over at least seven times.

Sorry, MM, just saw this. I left my house at 2am on April 6th. Got back very late last night, so I'm just now catching up!

    The list so far:

Today (catching up for Wednesday, Thursday, and today):
    1. Knit one square for baby blanket

    3. Fling 25 things
    4. Go through fridge and toss what expired over the week
    5. Flip all calendars to reflect that is is actually April, NOT March anymore!
    6. Move kitty's crate upstairs
    7. Unpack from PA
    Stragglers:

    1. Clean Miss Kitty's crate, so it is ready for her return on Friday
    2. Read one chapter of Good Old Dog - DONE
    3. Change bedsheets and make bed
    4. Plant new seeds
    5. Review summaries
    6. Put away all clean laundry
    7. Unpack from Los Angeles - DONE
    8. Pack for Pennsylvania - DONE

No list for today. As for Wednesday's:

    Pull yarn for new project
    Catch up with dishes
Cook for meals through the weekend
    Read interlibrary loan book

I more or less caught up with dishes, then did all the cooking and got behind again. I'll have time to do them before I go to work this afternoon. And that's it for the week.
