No counting this week. Just lists. For Saturday after work:

    Charge Kindle
    Switch out books on MP3
    Put away washed dishes
At least 8 rows on granny stripe afghan

It's time to renew my lease, and the manager said that when I sign the new one, she will schedule a carpet cleaning for me! That's never been offered as a signing bonus in all my years of renting. The bad news is -- it's going up $35 a month, but I've been there at least 2.5 years (I lose count) and it hasn't been increased at all, so I think I'm still ahead.

PA was very successful. I didn't stay but the one night, though, so I didn't get a chance to see much of the city. I spent more time in the air, traveling to and from, than in the actual city!

I'm ready for a new week, too.

Today wasn't too bad. The first thing I saw when I went into my sewing room was a crewel stitch bird picture I got several years ago for a quarter. It was very nearly finished at that time and it's been floating around in my way ever since. So I took a couple hours today and finished it. Glad it's done now, finally. The person who started it did a very nice job.

    Today's list:

    1. Remove shelf from sewing room window.
    2. Make new recipe. (Italian seasoning mix and yogurt with pectin)
    3. Finish crewel bird UFO.
    4. Read 30 pages.
    5. Measure cabinet.
    6. Give Sparky meds.

    7. Track food.
    8. Move sewing table out of living room back into sewing room.
    9. Fling six cookbooks.
    10. Tend Aerogardens.

    11. Remove cabinet doors.
    12. Move small bookcase into sewing room.

    Sunday's list:

    1. Track food.
    2. Work on wolf picture.
    3. Look at sewing machine.
    4. Make new recipe.
    5. Tend Aerogardens.
    6. Fling six cookbooks.
    7. Remove doors from cabinet.
    8. Sand front of cabinet.
    9. Medicate dog.
    10. Empty dishwasher.

OT: I have to vent. One of our dogs takes multiple medications every day due to canine glaucoma. Her ophthalmologist e'd me today and informed me one of her meds has gone from about $17 for a bottle of 100 tablets to $4 PER TABLET! (Yes, that's $400/bottle now. WTH!?) She takes two tablets per day. And I thought the Xalatan was bad, but at least we can order that from Canada. I don't know what we're going to do. I just feel sick. We pay a small fortune every month for her eye care already and just can't afford that huge of an increase. The old drug company was bought out by a new one, and this price increase is the result. Way to gouge customers. Greedy SOBs.

SD, that is crazy! What is the med your dog takes? I'll check around here and see if the price is the same, if you'd like.

Sparky's eye doc is very thorough about looking for the cheapest meds and has a drug rep he talks to quite a bit. I'm going to e our pharmacy in Canada and see if they can get it, but I don't think so.

It looks like 1-800-PETMEDS has it for $2.50 per tablet. Crazy time. That would get the cost down to $150/month, on top of the cost of the other drugs she has to take.

I e'd her doc again. She has to see him in a couple weeks and I want to try just giving her the Xalatan eye drops and see if that controls the pressure in her eyes till then, and see if maybe we could just quit the methozolamide completely. It's going to be an interesting conversation the next time he sees her.

This is very new news to us, so we're going to be searching online for the best price if she has to continue taking it. Thanks for offering to help us find a good source, but I think we'll be okay once we have some time to think about what to do, and talk some more to Sparky's doc.

I just can't believe the price increase.

SD - that is a scandalous price increase. I hope you can find something cheaper that will work for your dog.

All I did from my list last night was:
    Charge Kindle
Crochet 8 rows (+) on the afghan

    So 2 stragglers:
    Put away clean dishes
    Switch out books on MP3

No commitments for today. It's my longest day at work. When I get home I'll probably crochet or read.
