Still doing good on my kitchen cleaning every night. I really like waking up to a clean kitchen, it's so much more relaxing. I'm on my 2nd load of laundry, going to change the sheets on my bed, took the trash out, cleaned up the back yard from the dogs and have taken a bunch of stuff out to be recycled. I should clean the bathroom, but I will do that tomorrow night.

I'm doing my best to tackle some of the "dark spots" the stuff that rarely gets seen, and even more rarely gets cleaned.

Today I vac'd the wall over our bed (we live in a log house, the walls are finished like horizontal wall board, so there's little ledges from floor to ceiling!) and part of two windows, under both desks to the wall too.

I'm going to count this in my flings too, 3 points for each spot. I have to wear a dust mask to do this, I'm wicked allergic to dust mites, so crawling around on the floor with a little lamp and the portable vac to get the corners is NOT trivial!

Also, I have a load in the wash and the load I put in the wash last night before I went to bed is in the dryer. I haven't managed to empty/load the dishwasher yet today, but I'm doing way better at getting both the dishes and the laundry done. I call the machines my "servants" and make sure they are working whenever possible!

I'm trying to have the house scrubbed from top to bottom for the long weekend. I have only one kid home today so as long as I can peel myself away from my computer LOLOL.

Just a little thread for those of us who do better with accountability and affirmation, to post our daily successess (or failures, if we so wish), for all to see, because everyone knows that sunshine is the best disinfectant.
Thanks MH, that's a great idea, although I thought there was already a thread for this located here: https://www.frugalvillage.com/forums/...challenge.html ?

That's weird. I checked before posting and never saw it. Oh, well, great minds think alike.

Well out of my daily goals:

    - Check laundry basket and do wash if necessary
    - Living room tidy
    - Bedroom tidy
    - Bathroom wipe
    - Kitchen tidy and dishes
    - Water plants

Not too bad! The kitchen is always my downfall, I think...

I washed dishes and put them away. I also finally tackled the light fixtures in the bathroom. They are a bear to take down and clean, but I did all four of them! I vacuumed around the bird cages, something that I need to do daily (but often don't), and I dusted the t.v. stand. A bit eclectic, but at least things are generally cleaner than they were when I started today!

This is what I managed yesterday:
    washer/dryer/folded/put away 3/2/2/1
    vacuum 1
    air bedding/make bed 1/0
    clean someplace new 2
    dishes put away/wash 2/1

Funny, I take a bath most nights to get myself sleepy. Last night, I was dozing in the tub, thinking about getting up, getting in my pj's, brushing my teeth, etc. when it occurred to me that we hadn't cleaned the kitchen after dinner.

    That woke me up!

So I got DH organized and we went downstairs and cleaned the kitchen: unloaded the dishwasher, reloaded it,and dealt with whatever food was still out. Might different summer I'm having....

    - Bedroom tidy
    - Make bed

    Again, not too shabby.

I might do stuff today or I might not. I'm taking it easy since it's the weekend

Pretty good day so far. I cleaned the bathroom, swept the hall, picked up clutter from the diningroom and loft area, and am currently working on getting the kitchen back under control before calling it a day.
