    Today I did:
    - the backlog of dishes;
    - a quick clean of the kitchen;
    - a quick tidy of the living room;
    - a quick tidy of the bedroom;
    - watered the plants.

    I'll probably do a wash later, but I just don't have time to do anything else with this stupid assignment. Cannot wait until it's all done!

    Got out of the habit of posting here, and I've let things slide in the house too. I HAVE been doing more yard work, but not that much!

    washer/dryer/folded/put away 1 /1/0/0
    vacuum 1
    air bedding/make bed 1/1
    clean someplace new 1

    Still keeping my kitchen clean and all dishes done before I head to bed. Did a couple of loads of laundry last night, put it away and changed the sheets on my bed. Picked up the back yard and scooped the kitty litter.

    Tonight I am going to finish up the laundry and vacuum and dust.

    I hired a friend/co-worker to help me do some cleaning of my house - she's really organized and could use some extra money. So today she's surface cleaning the kitchen. DH didn't think it was necessary, I just rolled my eyes. Bonus is that I'm working on my real nemesis - the piles of everything everywhere. This is working out really well for both of us!!

    God lord, my house looks like a bomb went off in it. Everything is a mess and in need of a thorough clean, but I'm still so tired from all my class work that I really need some time to chill out and not worry about any of it. I'll start again this week with my usual routine, but in the meantime, today I did a super quick today of the living room and that was IT!

    I have loads of free time now to do a really deep clean of the house, so my next aim is to sit down and devise a plan to make that happen.

    When I came back from my grils' day out yesterday, DH had cleared up the one area of the LR that was really bothering me - that to me is the best Mothers' Day present ever!! Now I can go on to another area - yup, yup, yup - we are making progress!!

    Today's plan involves:
    - Sorting out the mess that is the kitchen. Made a big meal followed by cupcakes for SO's birthday yesterday and now it looks like I don't have a single item left in the kitchen that is clean

    - Tidy up the living room, including dusting.

    - Usual daily cleaning.

    - Do a wash and make a start on tidying the bedroom properly.

    I put 2 loads of laundry in, one needs to get into the dryer yet.
    Loaded the dishwasher & ran it too.
    Scrubbed the toilet & tub.
    Shook the laundry room rugs.
    But spent most of my day in the garden. The last row of the new garden extension is ready to be mulched/planted.

    I slipped a lot in housework, and got busy with other things, so I need to get back on the wagon. I have been good about keeping dishes cleaned, but not good about putting them away, and my dish drainer is typically on the point of collapse. The bathroom is full of clutter again, because it is my entry point into the house and, consequently, where I drop everything that I'm carrying in from the car. Sigh. Back to square one.

    Really busy and productive day

    - Started a deep clean of the kitchen.
    - Started a deep clean of the bathroom.
    - Tidied and dusted the living room.
    - Ran the vacuum over the house and then mopped.
    - Cleared out the litter tray.
    - FINALLY took the mould off the wall! It needs another going over but it looks MUCH better.
    - Set up the dehumidifier.
    - Changed the bed.

    This past week I cleaned the laundry room the way it should be every week. Yay!

    Today's job was going to be clearing ALL of the kitchen counters and putting everything away. That got stalled because DH needed my help outdoors. Instead, I cleaned the car wheels (going on/coming off), raked, we put the snowtires in the shed, pulled one of the van's bench seats out of the shed and put it IN the van, DH got the new roofing material on all but a small piece of the woodshed, gathered up two contractors' bags of various garbage, mowed part of the lawn, raked part of the lawn, etc.

    So it was a producive day, but not IN the house!

    I've counted, there are 13 sections to our counter (this includes the HUGE island). So far the past 2 days, I've cleaned 3 of them. As I type this the spiders for the stove are in the dishwasher. So what I've done is: the counter to the right of the stove, the stove, and the cutting board on the other side of the stove (need to get DH to oil it, but that's another matter).

    Next are the areas around the sink and the sink!

    Did a proper organisation of the living room and some dishes and cleaned the fridge. Didn't complete all of my daily goals today.

    Tomorrow I'm going to do my weekly deep clean of the kitchen and the bathroom.
