Two loads of laundry, 1 load of dishes today. Took things to the dump and took stuff to the antique store again too (I was there yesterday!).

    Did a huge clean yesterday:
    - Cleared litter tray
    - Tidied living room
    - Moderately thorough clean of the bathroom
    - Dishes and kitchen clean
    - Began to rearrange the kitchen
    - Tidied bedroom
    - Vacuum
    - Mop
    - Laundry wash

Today I have made the bed and will do the dishes in a wee while plus a tidy of the living room. I will hopefully do a fuller clean of the bathroom to get rid of the damp and mold or do some more kitchen rejigging - haven't decided which I'd prefer to do yet!

Last night, I cleaned up the kitchen, wiped down all the counters, etc. I also got the laundry sorted and made sure everything was picked up. This morning when I got up, there was such a sense of peace because everything was done and picked up and put away. I am liking keeping my house clean, especially when I only need to do a little bit each day!

With things moved around in the living room so we could put the flat file in place, I counted the boxes...8 stacks x 4 rows x 5 boxes per stack = 160 boxes of mostly books in the livingroom.

This sounds like a LOT...but it actually is about 1/2 or 1/3 or what we started with! There's other boxes in the house of course, but the biggest stash takes up a large piece of the livingroom, and is slowly, but surely going away!

Today we finished clearing out/cleaning the spot for the flat file to go. Also did 2 loads of laundry.

You know everyone keeps talking about their husbands cleaning and cooking, I'm seriously thinking I need to take my DH to the shop for some upgrades. You all must have the new and improved versions, some how I ended up with a 1930's model.

LOL Mine doesn't do much cleaning. He will help if I ask him, but usually the cleaning is up to me (which I'm fine with). The only reason he cleaned under the sink was because he had to fix the garbage disposal so he killed two birds w/ one stone lol.

My SO is like this, too. If I ask him to do something specific then he'll help, but otherwise I do all the cleaning and his only household responsibility is to take out the rubbish. I don't mind at all though; I work part-time and he works long hours - he's even out of the city for a couple of months because of a current project - so it suits us.

That doesn't stop me from asking him to do the dishes or clean the bathroom once in a while when I literally cannot face doing any more housework, so Polly my advice would be to just outright ask your DH to so something while you put your feet up

LOL! Mine would have had me clean out under the sink so he could fix the disposal.
