    1. Move the cars so the tanker truck can get in;
    2. Go out and buy more fresh water for drinking;
    3. Wash remaining dishes in sink with bottled tap water(another SO HAPPY moment that I put aside about 20 gallons, but it has bleach in it so it is good only for washing, flushing toilets, etc);
    4. Bring up paper plates and cups from downstairs;
    5. Turn off all automatic waterers;
    6. Empty dogs' trough and replace with water bowls in their room;
    7. Move money from savings to cover cost of new well pump;
    8. Look into cost of portable tank to put in my truck for refilling livestock troughs;
    9. Re-pack gym bag so I can shower at gym;
    10. Breathe.
    Still working on stragglers.

    Thanks, MM,

    I was saving up, thinking I might need a new well down the road, so if I can get by on a 5K pump repair (as opposed to a 20-30K drilling of a whole new well), I'll consider myself on the winning end of that deal!

    MH, sorry to hear about the water troubles. Hopefully you can get it repaired quickly...and on the cheaper end of the scale!

    I was hoping to spare you all the monotonous details of my Daily Chores but if I don't see them and put them in writing every single day until I get back in my routine I'm going to fail. I did good today but skipped breakfast and my vitamins again today. I just felt there were too many other things to tend to so I kept moving without stopping to think about what I was missing. So, I really need to start posting that list every day so it's in front of my face and not something that "I'll look at later" to see what I missed.

    Aside from that, today I:
    Got the shower walls done
    Canned 28 Pints of Chicken (I was expecting at least 32 but I'm not complaining)
    Kept kitchen cleaned between and during each Canning session
    Re-planted some Peppers that DH put in the wrong spot in the garden
    *Up* planted a few seedlings that were ready for larger containers
    Kept my desk cleaned of clutter
    Updated my gardening notes and tweaked our planting schedule for next Fall
    Sent a few emails

    Calling it a day

    I'm down to nit-picky stuff on the reorganization, the sort of stuff I can put off for weeks, so I Will Be Motivated To Plow Through It.

    The reservoir/lake must be down after the relentless heat and no rain, and then whipped up by high winds the last few days. Yesterday the water was suddenly nasty with that bottom of the pond smell and taste that happens occasionally in severe summers. Yuck. Thank goodness for the filter pitcher and spare filter in the closet!

    7. Cull books for discard
    8. Water plants
    12. Mend hem in skirt
    13. Re-do botched afghan strip
    13. Join afghan strips, weave ends (by Tuesday or else!)
    19. Download books to Kindle
    20. Pick out yarn for Julie's afghan
    21. Take out trash and boxes
    22. Research fungus gnat control
    23. Cook for week
    24. Put away loose "stuff" from reorganization
    25. Clear off kitchen bar
    26. Get out and set up Brita pitcher
    27. Put away random yarn
    28. Clear out dining room bookcase
    29. Put away clean dishes
    30. Find place to temporarily store discard books
    31. Reorganize the messy corner of the walk in closet
    32. Empty and discard lecture tape albums, find box for tapes

    Decided the easiest thing to do was to print my routine and use it as a checklist. That way I can keep up with things better.

    Before I even tackle my list I have to get all those jars of chicken washed, dried, dated and put away. That means pulling forward and removing most of the jars already on the shelf and getting these new jars pushed to the back. THAT's Gonna be fun, it always is.

    This is the beginning of my list. I'm starting in the back of the house first and moving forward. I probably won't get much done today because DH is home on holiday but hopefully I can chip away at a few things.

    Bedroom
    Dust Furniture
    Wipe Doors
    Helmac Lamp Shades
    Wipe Floor Fan
    Windex Pictures/Glass/TV
    Clean Off Bench Seat
    Shake Rugs
    Sweep Floor
    Sweep Under Bed
    Inventory Under Bed Storage
    Mop
    Wipe Screen Door
    Windex glass
    Wipe Doggy Door
    Wipe Walls
    Wash Fake Plant
    Wash Lamp Shades??
    Put Together Can Rotators
    Fill Can Rotators
    Clean out Underwear Drawers
    Raggedy Ann and Andy?? Donate??
    DH – Ceiling Fans
    DH – Light Fixtures
    DH – Dresser Mirror
    DH – Blinds
    DH - Windows
