    I'm not sure what I'll get done today since my back is still in recovery. I'm sure it'll involve knitting and crocheting though. I'll post back later what I actually accomplished, if anything.

    Ok, I'm back again. The last time I was "back again" it lasted about two days. My configuration of neighbors has changed so the other night I had to move the bed back into the bedroom (new ones on the left have music, not awful, but annoying if I'm trying to get to sleep) and the neighbors from h--- on the other side that made me move it in the first place are being evicted. The manager called them "bad news." So right! And to move the bed means moving almost everything else to make it fit in my small apartment. Long rambling intro. Anyway, tons of housework before I go back to work on Tuesday. On day shifts.

    In the order they occur to me:

    1. Put away quilt, get out different coverlet for bed
    2. Move large table to living room
    3. Move small table - somewhere
    4. Move large recliner
    5. Put away flotsam from table moving
    6. Put away rest of laundry
    7. Cull books for discard
    8. Water and rearrange plants
    9. Clean off kitchen counters
    10. Decide where to store tea stockpile
    11. Set up a "tea station"
    12. Mend hem in skirt
    13. Re-do botched afghan strip
    13. Join afghan strips, weave ends (by Tuesday or else!)
    14. Move yarn storage bins
    15. Move wicker drawers
    16. Move bookcase
    17. Move media shelves
    18. Catch up on dishes
    19. Download books to Kindle
    20. Pick out yarn for Julie's afghan
    21. Take out trash and boxes
    22. Research fungus gnat control

    Most of my Daily Chores got done today, the important ones.

    *Scrubbed tub when I took a shower this morning (will do walls tomorrow)
    *Got most of the shopping done today that I couldn't do yesterday.
    *Stopped by nursery and asked a few questions about the garden
    *Got 30 pounds of B/S Chicken Breast ready for the Pressure Canner tomorrow. Took 3.5 hours. Feet and back are sore.

    Calling it a day.

    I had a slight change of direction yesterday afternoon, when I turned on the faucet and nothing came out. I ended up spending a couple of hours with a well pump repairman, who informed me that my pump is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. So, no water from the well until possibly Tuesday afternoon + high 90s + animals = panic mode.

    Got hold of a company that trucks water in (and am SO HAPPY that I replaced my old 1500 gallon holding tank with a 2500 gallon tank last year!!) and will be back in business as of about 9am today, when they will be hauling 1500 gallons of water to me to get me through today,and another 1500 to get me through tomorrow and hopefully Tuesday.

    That said, today's list includes:
    1. Move the cars so the tanker truck can get in;
    2. Go out and buy more fresh water for drinking;
    3. Wash remaining dishes in sink with bottled tap water(another SO HAPPY moment that I put aside about 20 gallons, but it has bleach in it so it is good only for washing, flushing toilets, etc);
    4. Bring up paper plates and cups from downstairs;
    5. Turn off all automatic waterers;
    6. Empty dogs' trough and replace with water bowls in their room;
    7. Move money from savings to cover cost of new well pump;
    8. Look into cost of portable tank to put in my truck for refilling livestock troughs;
    9. Re-pack gym bag so I can shower at gym;
    10. Breath.
