I'm not celebrating Thanksgiving as a holiday - I'm making it a housework day, but that's ok. After being so out of joint with that wretched day schedule, I'm using this week off to catch up on lots of things that I have let slide, and that will make me feel better in the long run than a lazy day. I'll try to get a lazy day before I go back to work, and since some of my tasks are yarn related, they hardly count as work! So here I am - off to the salt mines!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

We had our gathering yesterday, so today I cooked outside with my Combo Cooker and took pictures for my column before winter hits. Glad that's done. It's been mild here for November and the weather is supposed to turn this weekend.

I don't plan to do much else today, maybe knit a little. I've crocheted on a Snuggle already. I made some dividers for a knitting bag, too.

Yesterday my mom gave me a couple of freezer baskets to modify to fit into the new freezer. I cut one down but then discovered the second one fits in the old freezer, so will be keeping that as is, at least for now. So I'll still need another one for the new one, maybe.

    Friday:

    1. Haul trash.
    2. Medicate dog.
    3. Knit on The Sweater.
    4. Move some things from old freezer to new one.
    5. Look for freezer basket at recycle center.
    6. Crochet some more on Snuggle in progress.

It seems like we haven't had any time to ourselves all week long. One thing after another. We've been like gerbils on a wheel, running and running and not getting anywhere.

Today I got most of the list done and will medicate the dog later. I did everything else except move stuff from one freezer to the other. I looked for a freezer basket at the recycle place and didn't find one, but snagged a really nice flatware basket for our dishwasher. Our current one has a bunch of holes broken out of the bottom and I'm sick of repairing it and sick of the handles on our flatware falling through the bottom and keeping the spray arm from turning. We'll see how the 'new' one works out, since it's not the same as the one we have.

    1. Haul trash.
    2. Medicate dog.
    3. Knit on The Sweater.
    4. Move some things from old freezer to new one.
    5. Look for freezer basket at recycle center.
    6. Crochet some more on Snuggle in progress.

I'm closing in on the end of The Sleeve for The Sweater, with about 100 rows to go yet, I think. So I'll focus on that tomorrow.

    Saturday's list:

    1. Wash and bleach new flatware basket.
    2. Knit on The Sweater.
    3. Medicate dog.
    4. Empty dishwasher.
    5. Sew one shopping bag from bird seed bag.
    6. Whatever else works out.

Well, I exercised, but that was it. The rest of the list remains untouched, and I don't see myself getting any of it done tonight.

madhen - lists don't expire. Tomorrow is another day. Sometimes it's just not in the stars to get things done.

The yarn inventory took a lot longer than I expected, so I didn't get as many other things done as intended. I'll do some of the little ones on the list tomorrow, but I'm planning for it to be more of a play day.

    Tasks completed:
    Wednesday - 14
    Thursday - 7
    Friday - 7

    4. Prepare salad veggies - will probably have to toss them by now
    12. Redo kitchen closet
    13. Arrange small tables and lamps
    14. Move pictures
    17. Sort yarn balls by brand
    22. Change vacuum cleaner bag
    25. Clear off table and kitchen bar
    26. Laundry
    27. Fold and put away laundry
    30. Defrost freezer
    32. Take out more trash!
    35. Clean microwave
    36. Clean front window sills
    37. Clean front windows
    44. Frog abandoned crochet projects and wind yarn
    45. Finish pink and rose lapghan
    46. Post pics of finished afghans

    Thanks, Donna,

I start a new list each Saturday, so I will post the link here, if you want to transfer any UFO's to the current challenge.
