I'm going to try to jump into this week. I need to get my life organized, and I have a to-do list a mile long. A lot of stuff on the to do list isn't even there yet because I keep forgetting to write it down.

    Here goes...
    1) Cancel doctor's appointment DONE
    2) Renew library books online
    3) Figure out what SIL owes and phone her with the amount
    4) Phone car dealership for a) a shuttle car pick up at 5 p.m. on Tuesday and b) getting another van key cut
    5) Phone lady from comm. church re: retreat registration
    6) Check church phone message
    7) Get DD2 to memorize her AWANA verse
    8) Get DD1 to memorize her AWANA verse(s)
    9) Get a baby gift ready for piano teacher
    10) Tidy back deck and back yard (to get it ready for winter)
    11) Write women's retreat date on calander
    12) Put Pampers points into account online
    13) Update bankbooks

I'm going to attempt to get everything done on this list today!(...Everything in pink is what I want to get done today!) I'll also be adding to the list.

    Last day off.

Yesterday, I stayed busy, but little to show for it:
Barnes and Noble run - Xmas gift cards for student workers
    Laundry
    Kitchen clean up
Worked on new lapghan - 1/4 done!

    Today:
Weave ends on last lapghan - DONE
    Put away laundry
    Take out trash
Update Kindle/Audible spreadsheet list - DONE
    Take lapghan pics, post them
Charge Kindle, download new items in download queue
Decide on Christmas present for ME
Enter lapghan info in crochet journal

The bunny hop ended soon the other night. The folks up there have a little boy, maybe 6 or 7 years old. From the people passing on the sidewalk, I think there may have been a couple of other children visiting. It all ended about "bedtime." I've rarely had children over me, and he sometimes jumps and runs around a lot, but it doesn't go on late, and it's just thumping, not music, so tolerable. Kids gotta play.

I was going to get the gift cards in December, but I've been in shopping mode (bad) and the CC bill was already over budget, a lot of it from food stockpile shopping with holiday sales. I decided to go on and get them, pick up a few more things I knew I would need soon, and pay the whole shocking thing at once. Then in December I'll have a nice quiet, no need to shop month, and it will balance out. When I've been spendy, I find it works best to anticipate immediate needs, then go cold turkey for a few weeks to damp the shopping habit. I'll decide if I'm getting myself anything for Christmas, and if so, get it in the next day or so. The CC closes on the 3rd, and I want it all on one bill.

    So far today:

    1. Moved some stuff from old freezer to new freezer.
    2. Blocked The Sweater.
    3. Unpinned blocked capelet. It turned out nice!
    4. Made 40" cable for Needlemaster knitting needles.
    5. Put meatloaf out to defrost.
    6. Put candy away in freezer under meat basket so it's hard to get to.
    7. Called insurance company about medication coverage.
    8. Called clinic about meds that are covered.
    9. Charged up Nook.

I'm still obsessively watching my Amazon account, waiting for my new mixer to ship. I'm still worried I was too close to it selling out when I ordered it, but it seems like they would have notified me by now if I wasn't going to get it. I'm excited about getting it! I think I've wanted it more than I thought I did, all this time. So I'm wasting too much time today refreshing my account page!

SD- Congrats of finishing The Sweater. Pic? I laughed at hiding the candy in the freezer. I would have to grab some random stranger on the street and ask her to hide in hers, and not give me her address. Candy has a stunningly short half life here, so I try to talk myself down passing that aisle in the grocery store.

The candy is in a plastic pail under a heavy basket of meat, so I have to really want some in order to bother. Stuff is usually fairly safe if it's in the freezer. Out of sight is out of mouth!

    So far today:

    1. Moved some stuff from old freezer to new freezer.
    2. Blocked The Sweater.
    3. Unpinned blocked capelet. It turned out nice!
    4. Made 40" cable for Needlemaster knitting needles.
    5. Put meatloaf out to defrost.
    6. Put candy away in freezer under meat basket so it's hard to get to.
    7. Called insurance company about medication coverage.
    8. Called clinic about meds that are covered.
    9. Charged up Nook.

    I added a few more:

    10. Wound up ten huge yarny cakes on my new yarn ball winder that just arrived. Love that!
    11. Located and sewed buttons on capelet.
    12. Wove in ends of matching mitts to go with capelet.
    13. Made supper.
    14. Located Christmas gifts in the freezer and put them where they're easier to get.

The Sweater isn't completely finished. I'm just blocking the body of it, then I have to re-sew the shoulder seams and knit the collar, put in the zipper, and sew in the sleeves. But the end is in sight!
