    For Wednesday 12.28.11:

    1. Go to the OmniMed center. My doctor is on vacation and I've been sick, sick, sick since Thursday. Time to throw in the towel and see a professional.
    2. Laundry. I have to fold and put away the baby laundry and do the boys laundry.
    3. Finish dealing with the cardboard from Christmas. It won't be picked up until 1.9.11, but I am sick of looking at it.

Smile More progress in organizing resources

Between 2 periods of bed-rest last night, I did this:
    - Organized my sewing cabinet & large sewing box last night.
    - Cleaned out my knitting needles container (a huge popcorn can); the kn's will fit into a drawer of my sewing dresser instead. The rag-rug rolls will then fit into the big popcorn can, and eliminate all the little kleenex boxes/cereal boxes they are in now. All of this activity cut the clutter on my sewing cabinet, bedroom, and spare room.
    - Moved essential sewing notions to 1 small basket on my sewing cabinet, instead of many little containers.
    - Moved buttons to button can (cookie tin); notions organized in large sewing box.
    - Also threw out old decrepid pin-cushion, moved all my pins & needles to lovely lace pincushion Mom made for me.
    - Moved one of my bedroom cushions to my sewing chair, instead of the folded sheet I'd been using; my room looks much nicer.
    - Moved the cough drops & mints on my dresser to 1 tiny jar only, making more space & less clutter.

(It's amazing how one thing leads to another; either in cluttering or de-cluttering.)

    Today:
    - errands
    - cooking (the last of the turkey)
    - organize sewing dresser (no mean feat)

    Please Note:
From now on, to save time & energy, which are 2 of my major resources, I will be posting my activities & progress mainly on my UserName Page. Hope you will visit!

Well, that was perfect timing. Last week I bought a new mechanism for the toilet tank at GW for $1, figuring to install it 'someday'. It should improve performance. But the float broke off the current mechanism just now, so I guess 'someday' has officially arrived. Usually my luck is I find what I need cheap a week AFTER I need it, so I'm happy about this. Too funny!

I also want to make a polar fleece bag for the new little camping lantern we got in the mail, and make curtains for the glass doors of a china hutch.

Better get to it. I'd hate to have to say we don't have a pot to pee in.

Toidy's fixed! And there's no change in performance, unless you count that it doesn't run endlessly now with no float. But it flushes the same. While I was at it I cleared out the slow-running drain in the sink and took the aerator off the faucet and cleaned all the limescale off that. The screen was so full I'm surprised it worked at all.

So I'm 1/3 so far today.

2/3 and I'm done. I wrecked my back fixing the toilet, and I don't want to sit in my sewing chair. It was worth it to get that done though.

I'm 3/3 after all. I couldn't stand to see that curtain fabric sitting there so I made up the two panels real quick. They're just rectangles to gather onto the back of the door, so very simple.
