Here is a pic of Angus I took this morning. Seriously, who can get anything done with this face staring at you, demanding to be loved on?

Oh yes MM, Dh knows and accepts the fact since he never organizes things himself! Sounds like a great plan on the crafting room you have worked out in your head. I hope your Dh gives you as much help as you need!

Madhen - that face is just priceless. I love his little brown patches above the eyes...he sort of looks like a mini rottie.

One of the pups actually looks EXACTLY like a Rottweiler, but is about two pounds.

Although this isn't technically part of this month's bedroom challenge, I am currently tackling the freezer. It is completely frosted over (AGAIN) and has been making all my food in the fridge section wet so we are defrosting it today. Towels are all over the floor and milk is being drunk really very quickly.

Ack, good luck with the freezer, Squidge!!

I guess I technically started the kitchen, if standing in it and staring at everything, trying to decide what can stay and what must go, is considered starting.

Wrote up my list yesterday, didn't get far on it, but I will keep it and keep working on it till its done. They are all things that HAVE to be done. So no sense in just moving on today or next weekend if it isn't done.

Well, saturday I did the junk drawers, yesterday I finished cleaning out the fridge. Today it is time to finish cleaning off the counter tops, I don't want anything on my counters with the exception of the knife block, spice rack and the coffee maker... maybe I can find a new home for the spice rack too hmmmm then organizing under the kitchen sink...

He would be just perfect. You are so lucky to have them, even if just for a little while.

    Thanks for sharing the pictures.

And I wasn't going to join any "challenges" this year. LOL Thank you so much for starting this one, I need the motivation. I think I just didn't want to be held accountable Anyway, my downstairs, as many of you know, is hoarders-style. My goal this year is to get it cleared out in increments. so my goal for january is to get contractor bags for the big stuff, and start trashing any unusable stuff down there that has just been sitting waiting for me to get a move-on. maybe also get one area cleared out.
I am going to pick my laundry area. if I get it cleared out it will be more functional. so I will get the laundry area cleared out by feb 1.

How big is your closet? Can you describe the layout? Does your dresser really need to be in there? I *think* I have an idea that may help you but don't know the layout of your closet.

Oh. My. Goodness. He's such a keeper!! Thank you for sharing the pics.

My January progress - not much LOL

Instead of focusing on the bedroom, like I had originally planned: DH & I tackled the main hallway of our living area. We cleared off the futon so that its not a dumping ground anymore. We set up a small side table in the hallway which has now been turned into our beverage station complete with tray set up on it with pitcher and glasses along with the Brita. This used to sit on our bar fridge however we got a Keurig machine for Christmas so we're housing it there instead.

We also removed a few boxes of 'stuff' - some were sorted and purged and some were just placed in another area to be dealt with later.

Lastly we really tidied up the lv rm.The only disaster areas left are by the wood stove which is DH's domain and the bookshelves have too much 'stuff' on them - thats a whole other project in itself for another time.
