If you look at the bottom right of the window in which you type, you'll see "go advanced". If you click on that, you will get an option to do a strike-through. It looks like ABC with a line through it. Highlight what you want to strike, then click that icon.

Otherwise, you can just start the line with [ - ] (no spaces) and end with [/-]. That is the command for starting/stopping a strike-through.

All done except taking out the stinky trash. That is tied closed, so not obviously stinky at the moment, and I'll take it all down to the trash collection area later tonight or in the morning on my way out to work since I walk past it.

Considering myself off duty for the rest of the night!

    Whine Alert

I'm pretending yesterday was today on my pyramid. I'm back into night shift schedule, but had to open the library this morning at 7:30 and instead of it being a couple of hours and going home to a nap (it's technically a holiday though we are open), I'm having to stay until 4. I've only been here an hour and I just want to crawl under the desk and go back to sleep. It's two hours before I'm usually even out of bed. It's tough to get up at 5:45 instead of 10:30.

So no assigned tasks today. It's going to be all I can do just to slog through the day at work. Fortunately a student worker comes in in about half an hour and we can keep each other awake. So far, no one has been in at all. Don't get me started about the total non-necessity of opening at 7:30 on school/facility holidays. I really annoys me to be sitting here alone in a completely empty building at this unholy hour of the morning! Caffeine. Lots of caffeine....

Thanks, madhen. I could use the company. It's 9:45 and still no one has come in. Someone came and looked at the door, tentatively pushed it and then changed his mind and walked off.

    Sigh.

End of whine -- I was there eight and a half hours and only 7 or 8 people came in by my count, most for just a few minutes at the computers. This afternoon a couple of students came in together and stayed in the computer lab about an hour. The two student workers who took over for the 4-11 pm shift are going to have even fewer - if anyone at all.

I guess I shouldn't complain. Where else would I be paid well to sit and read a novel? It would have been blissful if I had had the night rather than the morning shift. But I never ask the students to come in at 7:30. They're not paid enough to get stuck with that, especially when they are on vacation too and out of training for morning classes!
