    Wink

    One thing led to another:
First, I finished cutting up my pile of clothes on the upstairs landing railing. BIG ECHO in there now!
That led to looking through my 3 boxes of stuff that needs sewing; and I got that better organized.
I then scrubbed the bathroom toilet, tub and sink; that led to laundering the shower-curtain, and mats.
One mat had rubber backing which disintegrated in the washer, so that led to a mess on the basement floor with wads of rubber everywhere, which led to me sweeping the entire basement, and rinsing out my washer several times.
I then decided to do some cooking, and that led to re-organizing my aprons (the ones I use, the ones I don't use), and my other table linens.
I was making pumpkin pudding, and had all the ingredients in the blender, somehow I left a METAL TABLESPOON in there BY ACCIDENT; started up the blender and ...well....what a mess; that led to cleaning the kitchen under the top cabinets, some of the wall, all of the small appliances on the counter, and throwing out the spoon, also throwing out the pumpkin mixture.
That also led to washing up the floor.

I got my photos and Christmas cards done; that led to re-organizing all my greeting cards, and my desk.

I noticed that I was low on sugar in my canister; that led to lugging down sugar from the upstairs nook, and putting it in pails in the pantry, also organizing the pantry.

I'm trying to cut down on water expenses, and change from reverse-osmosis water to boiled tap water. That led to disinfecting all my water jugs (9), and rinsing them 3 times each. That also led to boiling water in 2 small Corningware kettles, all day long. That led to finding an old stainless steel kettle in the basement, the 'whistling' kind, which led to trying to remove the whistle with a pliars, screwdriver and hammer, whcih led to breaking the handle off the kettle, which led to being able to see inside the spout at last, which led to finding a large pile of rust and black gunk inside the bottom of the kettle, which led to me throwing the kettle into the trash, thankful that I wouldn't be drinking water out of it!

All of this led to me being very hungry, which led to some home-baking of cinnamon buns, and some bun-dough preparations for more buns, as well as making another batch of pumpkin pudding...mindful this time of all metal utensils.

This naturally led me to being very tired, which led me to my bed, which led me to changing the bed linen, which led to finding fuzz-ball pills on my mattress fabric, which led to me de-fuzzing the fabric with my fabric de-fuzzer gadget. Which led me to have to brush my mattress with my lint brush, which led me to be utterly exhausted. And when I finally got into bed, I looked up and noticed that I really cannot get away with not cleaning my ceilings and walls any longer, they HAVE TO be cleaned with the swiffer mop asap to get rid of the dust, and my whole place needs vacuuming badly. And my light globes are filthy!
    So that's the next plan!

I saw a chicken yesterday and went chasing it...hence the office didn't get started. BUT, I did get the hamper liners washed when I did all the laundry so that finishes off the master bedroom. DH got his side of the office done when he got home from work yesterday...well, *his* kind of done...not *my* kind of done. I'm going to have to *help* him along and see if we can't make a little more progress, lol! He's home today and while he ran to get the steam cleaner I threw the throw pillow and arm covers in the wash and he has been cleaning the furniture for the past hour or so. When he gets done I'll have him clean the picture above the entertainment center that I can't reach. That will knock out the living room so I'm going to go ahead and take it off the list as well. AND...while he's been working on the furniture I got in the spare room and got it all done. It never needs anything more than a quick wipe down and maybe a little bit of organization...I have a few baggies of foods I dehydrated in the dehydrator that I put in a box and need to package up for longer storage but for now it looks neat and clean. Another room done!

I won't get much else done today. I'm getting ready to do some Christmas shopping then going to get my hair done later this afternoon. The office WILL get done this weekend!!

MADH - Okay, I'm stealing your line. Whenever someone asks me if I got something done and I haven't, I'm going to say "I saw a chicken and went chasing it". I know this is not what you meant when you wrote that but I'm tired and silly today and it just cracks me up.

Nothing today, I worked and I'm beat. Tomorrow I have off and plan on tackling the master bedroom.

Getting down to the nitty gritty. Got to empty the file cabinet for the new year and do a little organization in the office closet. Couldn't hardly get in here yesterday because DH was really putting some elbow grease in to his side of the room. I don't think his desk area has ever been this clean and tidy. Also forgot to wipe down the closet door. I'm going to save the file cabinet for a few more days, maybe another week and let the last of the bills roll in. I think I'll start polishing the cookware a few pieces at a time this week and get them off my list.

Got my tree and decorations up, sorted my coupon binder.
Bagged recyclables, I don't know how I'm going to lift all the Christmas store-flyers I put in there...I might have to divide them into 2 bags...or risk physical injury lugging them upstairs and out to the curb...that garbage bag weighs a ton!!!
